No major dramas, but my tongue has turned pink today, and I am drinking lots more water. This is because the saliva in my mouth feels a bit dry. Not dry as it completely dry, but wet-dry as in the dry feeling of gin. Er, without the fun of actually drinking the gin of course. Apart from that, weight loss is slightly less now, as to be expected on a long fast. So will carry on...- Edited #98566

17 days is pretty amazing. I've never said this before but I think you are a pretty cool person. you are also funny .... especially the "bar brawl" comment.

No particular new insights from this fast apart from to discover I have ribs and hips!
Total weight lost so far since 14 November 2007 is 95 pounds. Total weight lost on this fast is 20 pounds. Bear in mind I will put some on at the end as I usually do, though this time I intend to experiment with juice fasting to try and reduce that effect.- Re: Day 17, a few slight changes anyajb12

everyone thinks I'm out to get them.. but I'm actually not. I have helped several people via diet.. and alternative med.. I'm an alt Dr in training. But I will not sugarcoat and give bs promises. Baby steps.. you have to take that or you will set up failure.. and the time spend running around in circles you could have been closer to your goal.
its like someone who's never run before wanting to do a marathon and the people on this forum saying you can do it! and me scoffing and saying ookaay why dont we work on jogging a mile first. But I digress :)
goodluck on your fast loosie and just remember.. restriction of any kind is not the way to live atleast IMO.. you need to find your personal balance within- have some pizza here and there life is too short :)Advertisement

sorry but I don't use steroids.. I'm not even that big, but I do believe in discipline hard work, and getting off my ass and doings something about it.
Rude? probably.. obnoxious? well yeah how else can I ease my stress from med school but online to people who take everything too literally :P but realistic and truthful? always. deal.

no pain no gain! muahahahahhaha
once you get into a habit.. you may actually enjoy working out and be amazed how you can lose just as much fat by eating tons and working out and not fasting. You're metabolism will be so fast and self sufficient it'll be insane.
who wouldn't want to train their body into a fat burning machine the second they eat a piece of cake?
