...and sadly lot of ppl are doing it because they are brain-washed by internet and dont have too many options left. Western medicin has failed them, as they are offering pills and surgery. So they look for "ALTERNATIVES"....
Then they gather their courage to chug 1/2 cup of olive oil to "clease their livers" Gosh!! They vomit and have nausea but continue to drink the oil on bi-weekly basis and drink plenty of Epsom Salt to induce diarrhea.
I have done it myself over a dozen times. And will never do it again. I am saddened by the fact that so many naive ppl are doing it, and rejoicing those green stones. Its plain stupid...
I am anti-western medicin and have myself been looking for alternative health.
A un-healthy spine can be root cause of many health problems.
If there is a "mechanical problem in car, what difference does it make, what kind of gas it gets. the car is still broken" ... Similarly, if you have unhealthy spinal cord, what difference does it make what kind of foods you are consuming. You will contine to be unhealthy. Of course eating healthy is very improtant, but also fix your BACKBONE.
If you want to clean your liver, drink plenty of lemonade,. ACV, sour foods/fruits (eg cranberries) and get into some exercise(yoga/pilates). It will heal the entire body...
--> Sorry if you have that problem, but not all do and the fact is that it works very well for some. Others just take longer while even other people just give up and never reach their goal.
The problem of vomiting and nausea is very very common when doing the flush. And what goal are you talking about. Ppl have done 50+ flushes and still looking for alternatives...
-->Yes, these are good things but, again, nothing works the same for everyone. But none of the things that you offered increases the flow of bile which is the only thing that will flush the liver and gall bladder.
Nerves travel to every organ of our body. So when a particular nerve going to liver/GB is pinched, ppl can have Liver/GB related health problems which a LF cannot alleviate. Taking pressure off that pinched nerve could help naturally heal the body.
Hi ParaZapper:
I am sorry I used a strong word like "stupid". I just meant the procedure of LF sounds "illogical" to me...And I know ppl are doing it because they are running out of options.
I was very religous abt LFing and did it very strictly. Because I was suffering from unexplained bloating and nothing else was working. I did a series of flushes for over a 7-8 month period and read Andreas Moritz books. But in the long run, I saw it did not work..Bloating always came back, indigestion continued to stay. Allergies were never cured.
Also I want to point that my yearly blood work got messed up. Actually, my bad cholestrol was raised and my IRON (ferritin) became very low. ( after 13 flushes). I am not doing any flushing now, and my Ferritin is gradually improving with each blood work. The cholestrol has also normalised.
I just want speak here in debate forum because, people have the right to hear both sides of stories. There are plenty in Support forum singing praises abt LF...Even if I am the only one speaking against it I want my voice heard. So people can make an informed decision...
Sorry to hear about this VITILIGO problem. My dad got it several years ago. It can be frustating.
I know I have been openly bashing LFing but my intentions are clear. I agree that a clean liver is extremely important for health but "drinking olive oil and rejoicing over green stones" is not my definition of cleansing the liver. Be very careful of what you decide to do when you take control of your health. A lot of these remedies can backfire.
I have read about ppl complaining about weak digestion after doing fasts. Thankfully, fasting is something which I have not tried, because my family wont allow me to. Its plain simple for me.
BTW, for vitiligo, something you can try. Make a paste of boric acid powder and lemon juice and apply on the spots. Boric acid is anti-fungal and may help. I have read that vitiligo is caused by "fungus eating up the melanin of the skin" and hence boric acid can help.
