It's not a "serious" mood crash, almost certainly not worse than with the darned thing in, but there tends to be a trend when you have it removed. Usually the first week you feel GREAT and lose between 2-5 pounds, the second week you still feel better at first, but about day 10 you can get very low and snippy. No energy, bad mood, start thinking "This is how I felt with it IN, so it MUST NOT have been the Mirena". Stick with it, within a week or so of hitting this "mood crash" you start to feel better again.

My first question to you would be about the progesterone shots. Are they synthetic, or bio-identical? It sounds like you started off with either low progesterone or estrogen dominance. Putting in the Mirena probably just added fuel to the fire. The synthetic progestin in mirena seems to cause us to stop making our own natural hormone, (by replacing it, as well as causing us not to ovulate-the primary source for progesterone) so if the shots you were taking to stay pregnant was synthetic as well.....double whammy.
Most docs deny the hormonal imbalance-but if you look up your symptoms, they are all indicative of hormones. the problem is, synthetic hormones are bad-read up about HRT. The pharm co's can't make money off hormonal imbalance being a viable condition, cause their drugs are dangerous! just watch-as soon as they can figure out a way to capitalize on this, doc's will be all over it. "prediction by Jill" lol!
I tried anti-depressants, and all they did was make me stupid and dull...cause I didnt need them!
