(And no, I have nothing against any of the above labels - I have, or have had, friends that fall in one or more of each group)

Perhaps what I said was a knee-jerk reaction to finally being done with this posting behavior, and I can see that you are willing to go for my jugular to support this person.
He has ties to the White Supremacists. He is against a woman's right to choose. He has stronger ties to the Christian Right than even Bush. He will cause havoc with our immigration policies. There's much more. If you are standing behind him ONLY for the health reform, then you are extremely deluded....unless you also support White Supremacists.....hate immigrants, don't care about women's rights and are a card carrying member of the Christian Right.
I do agree however with his views on the war in Iraq, and Health Reform, but the rest is simply abhorrent.
I take it back, he's not a dick, he's dangerous. The only good that will come from this is he will take some votes away from the Republicans.....
You were right in the beginning, political discussion belongs in the Politics Forum , NOT in Breaking News.

On a cursory read through three of the posts I see some references to things that have already been thoroughly discussed and debunked along with others that seem little more than his belief that government should not be funding certain personal choice activities or practices (entitlements?)...

This is a reply to # 1,059,378Sorry Molly, these blogs are nothing but a bunch of misinformation. They may be nothing but an attempt to totally falsely discredit Ron Paul. I do not know who in the world you would recommend, as Ron Paul is the only one looking out for our freedoms. The rest are out to enslave us.
And what will happen to those that are dependent on the government if Ron Paul wins. They are starving right now, as their aid gets cut more and more to fund the Iraq war. Medicare will be cut again at the beginning of the year. I work with the elderly and they living in literal poverty and not able to even afford their medication. I spoke to one last week that said he was in the "donut hole" with regard to his prescriptions until the beginning of the year. That means his allotment has run out and he cannot afford the prescriptions at the full price. Oh, not a problem..... This gentleman only has diabetes and heart problems.
What earthly service is the government we have doing to its citizens? They are killing them.

This is a reply to # 1,059,378Although you profess to abhor seeing commentary about Ron Paul on the News Forum, you certainly appear to be willing to continue it, despite suggestions to do so where it more appropriately belongs.
Thanks though for revealing a source of the slant of your opinion - a "highly respected" blogger who takes Ron Paul's consistent track record of voting along constitutional lines and gives it the far left spin of implying every kind of imagined label and evil intent. I know now where you are coming from - not long ago, I was there myself. Happily, it is a place I have come from and not one where I still am.
So you see, there is hope. A well intentioned, yet misguided left winger can wake up and smell the roses and see past the rose colored lenses and filtered information they have been fed - perhaps even see far enough to realize how it might be that Dr. Ron Paul, the ob/gyn who has delivered over 4000 babies into the world, could have looked down so many times upon the tiny miracle he had just helped deliver into the world and held in his own hands and believed that tiny life to be precious, and, having cared for it and devoted his skills to ultimately bring that life healthily from the womb since shortly after the moment of conception, have regarded it as a life - an unborn but human life - he had been caring for from the very first moment, and not some object with a dehumanizing sterile term such as zygote or fetus.
Perhaps that might explain his deeply held belief that such life is sacred, whether in his hands or in the womb, and not wish to see all the potential it had lying before it robbed merely for the sake of convenience. And maybe he just might wish to see that child grow up as a free human being not enslaved by the government, but enjoying all of the rights to pursue life, liberty and happiness that our forefathers intended.
Lest you misunderstand, I am not an opponent of a "woman's right to choose", but I think that such a choice should not be made lightly or callously nor dehumanized by sterile labels that would have us think of a living organism as an inanimate object to be disposed of as easily as unwanted debris. I still find it amazing to see how many people can be so concerned over the wolves in Alaska, baby seals, fighting dogs and chickens, spotted owls, snail darters, and the inhumane treatment of livestock (and I agree with all of those concerns too) and yet can so easily justify taking a developing human at whatever stage and rob their entire potential lifetime from them.
I may not oppose the right to choose, but I will surely not twist such a heartfelt issue or twist any other issues made on strongly held moral or constitutional beliefs to cast doubts on the man who, regardless of how many may agree or disagree with him, is recognized by his fellow congressmen and women of both parties as one of the most respected and honorable members of congress.
Odd how the leftwing do-gooders and rightwing neocons who would discredit Ron Paul in their blogs seem to ignore that fact. Odder still that Ron Paul's opponents would not be dragging out all of the ridiculous charges and labels that are applied by such "respected" blogging authorities.
Perhaps the words of the person who best knows Ron Paul of anyone in the world might shed some light on how Ron Paul came to be the person he is today - his wife of over 50 years, mother of his five children and grandmother of their 18 grandchildren, Carol Paul:

This is a reply to # 1,059,439Wow. Having a baby when you don't want to, whatever the reason, is a mere "inconvenience". Only a man could say something like that.
I, a woman, who was raped at 19 (did not get pregnant, but easily could have), becomes totally bed ridden by the 5th-6th week and stays that way, and has NEVER had a man who would stand behind her...or support himself, let alone me, while I was down, see it very differently....
As I am sure you are aware, the VAST majority of abortions are done in under 3 months. I feel reasonably justified to point out that any done after that are almost always done for health reasons, either the mothers or the babys. I can't speak for all, but I know my gender well enought to also feel justified in saying it is rarely a casual decision...unless the psychological make up of the indivudal involved has that sort of attitude about life in general. (It happens)
How can you be so trusting of RP's health care attitudes, when he wants to deny reproductive rights (health care) to women, who make up 1/2 of the human race?
You, as a man, cannot imagine what it is like when everytime you have sex, you feel as if you are playing Russian Roulette with your life. The terror you feel when your period is late. Aside from how strong the sex drive is when we are young and lacking in wisdom and impluse control, sex is essential for any woman who wants to maintain a bonded relationship. It is expected of us, x times a week. Most of us, both men or women, do want bonded relationships. Most don't want to live our entire lives alone. Most forms of birth control are dangerous...and sometimes they don't work. The less danagerous they are, the more likely they are not to work.
So I guess that leave us girls between a rock and a hard place, which is where many in society like us to be...as women must be punished for having sex. It that Eve syndrome thingy. What better punishment is there then being forced to have a baby you don't want or you are not ready for, emotionally, physically, financially or in any other way? When I was young, I watched many of my girlfriends struggle to raise babys...whent the father was who knows where? Their entire lives were put on hold indefinately for one misguided night while their boyfriends ran off and played their guitar...

I'm sorry you were raped, or that your girlfriends felt so encumbered by having to care for the children they brought into the world, but I can't see how any woman can have such feelings of disdain and contempt for her own children. I can't imagine seeing my own baby as a punishment no matter who the jerk father was. Perhaps you were some woman's punishment. Furthermore, rape and incest are not the norm in cases of abortion and that's evident in statistics.
I am a woman and I don't see that what DQ has stated is just a "man's opinion". If I were a man I would feel like you hate all of us because of what some bastard did to you years ago. For your information, the majority of pro-lifers are women, not men.
Why should sex be Russian Roulette? Whatever happened to condoms, foam, R-E-S-P-O-N-S-A-B-I-L-I-T-Y? M-O-R-A-L-I-T-Y?????????

I don't know if you were implying that, but I see that posted on curezone all of the time. China is the only country that has forced/encouraged abortions, and they did it because their population growth was so astronomical that people were dying. I am not defending that, but it had nothing to do with a NWO. Woman have been having abortions for as long as they have been having sex. The abortion rates have changed little over the years, regardless of the legality of it. I do think that there is honest room for disagreement on the abortion issue, but I find it ironic that the people who hate the government the most and are always crying about there liberties think the government should be in the busines of telling women what to do with their bodies.

Now I think your ideas about the NWO and other related subjects are complete %¤#&!§-, but I still do have a tremendous amount of respect for you, and always have. For your knowledge of alternative cancer treatments and other holistic practises and the time you put into curezone, both on your forum and outside of it. I remember your first few days here on the Cancer Forum . In fact I put up a post welcoming you here. It may have gotten lost in the crash, but I always had a good feeling about you. I remember how white tiger accused you of a lot of things and how he and C got into a pretty good row over it. I still think you are one of the better posters here.
I have a history degree from Tufts and have spent many years studying history - it has always been one of my favorite hobbies. Sorry, I still don't buy the NWO. We will have to disagree. I am a pro-choice, pro-gay atheist and proud of it. Ultimately I came to curezone to learn about alternative medicine, not bicker over politics, religion and sex. In fact I think most people here could care less about the debates that occur on these Debate Forums . I have almost stopped posting on these forums. As I said, I came here to learn about alternative health and these Debate Forums just seem to divide people - look at what is happening between you and me. Anyway DQ, I enjoy reading your posts and regardless what happens between us will continue to do so. Keep doing what you are doing.

I am also a history buff and surely you must know that what we are taught in the history texts is far from what actually happened. There is the largely filtered and sanitized history we are given, and there is the hidden true history that is not popularly told. Such as the history of the Khazarian Jews and the history of the family who changed their name from Bayer to one that means quite literally "red shield" and chose a family emblem of a satanic symbol on a red background (which they lent to the country they largely financed and founded and changed it to a blue background and called it the "Star of David"), and the history of their minions and allies such as the Rockefellers, Warburgs, Oppenheimers, Carnegies, Morgans, etc.
If you like history, I suggest you read "The Thirteenth Tribe" and perhaps "The Synagogue of Satan", or some of the other histories of the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, et al.
In the past you may find the future. And then issues about corporate misdeeds will become issues about the relatively small group of people who own and sit on the corporate boards and who own or control most of the wealth of the world.
I understand your religious views completely - the concept of a supreme power is a difficult one. Perhaps the best proof is the very fact of th NWO conspiracy which has spanned centuries and generations. The way I see it, only a supernatural evil could span that time with such a plan. And if there is a guiding force of evil, then the flipside is that their must be an opposite force of good.
God may be hard for some of us to find or grasp, and I sure do not profess to know exactly who or what that Power may be. On the other hand, the workings of Satan are clearly present in abundance for all of us to see.

The people I referred to are not Jews, but instead people who call themselves Jews yet aren't. They come not from the tribe of Abraham or any other of the tribes of Israel and in the book of Revelations, such people are referred to as "The Synagogue of Satan".
I don't pretend to be an expert on biblical prophecy, but I think it is pretty obvious who that phrase would apply to today and that is the people from the nation of Khazaria whose rulers mandated a mass conversion to Judaism around 850 AD, not on the basis of true belief, but in order to not have their people be subject to influence by the Muslims on one side and the Roman Christians on the other.
I don't hate anyone except those who are truly evil and knowingly serve an evil master. Mostly I hate what people do. And I especially hate ignorance, of which you have an abundance.
Those who know me, would know that I have at least as many brown friends as I do white ones, and a number of other "colors" as well. I even have gay and atheist friends, just like you point out that you do. Liberals and pro-choicers too. Some of the closest friends I have ever had were a Jewish couple in Plano Texas by way of New York. And I have had roommates who are every one of the above.
You see why I like Ron Paul? No, you don't have a clue and obviously cannot see past the end of your own uptilted nose. Maybe the tilt has something to do with your expertise in expelling gas and other noxious things from your body (referring to you previous posts about farts and farting), among which I believe we can now safely add foul misguided misjudgments and labels you so quickly misapply to others.
I am surprised you have not yet called me a "racist dick". Is there a reason why "dick" appears to be your favorite perjorative? I am sure that if I had used the term there would be no lack of labels and judgments you would be quick to throw out here.
Question: Why is Ron Paul considered to be one of the most respected and honorable members of congress by other members on both sides of the aisle? Quick now, go find another misguided leftwing blogger to quote your answer from.
When you have your answer, perhaps then you can turn from your attack on Ron Paul and tell us who it is that YOU support and why. Inquiring minds would love to know. And I bet that when you reveal it, IF you do, you will have a great deal more trouble defending that candidate than do the Ron Paul supporters defending him.

This is a reply to # 1,060,108While "left wing" as you put it, the blog that I did quote is a well known, highly respected source that exposes right-wing connections to hate groups and racism. Their sources are also reliable. Those that will read my links can decide for themselves. The proof is in the pudding, as they say. And if Ron Paul was as honest as you say he is, then he wouldn't have danced around the issues of his past. He is winging it, just like any politician.
Who respects him? I'd love to see that list. We can go through them one at a time if you like. I do know that David Duke is just wild about him.
He is an internet phenomenon....If he were to ever be a serious candidate, all of these things would come out...dates, articles, relationships...the whole nine yards. Up to now there's no reason. No one takes him as a serious threat.
Why do I use that term? I would use that term for anyone who I believe is a hate-monger.
I actually do not believe you are a hateful person. But the New World Order, even though you would say it is not anti-Semitic (but Satanic) is borderline. If you had said you thought it was from aliens, I might have been sympathetic...but taking any race of people (or sub race) is by definition...racist.
I am not in agreement of your assessment of the New World Order. There is absolutely no empirical evidence to suggest that the Illuminati exist. It is impossible to debate this subject, because In the mind of those that believe, every internationally drawn up piece of legislation, every UN deployment of troops, every economic trade agreement, is evidence that the world is moving towards a single global governance. Every major event from the death of Princess Diana to the attack on the World Trade Centre is now routinely traced back to the Illuminati. With the Internet-using Conspiracy theorist in operation, no future atrocity, accident or event will happen that will not be attributed to the Illuminati. It is an obsession which reminds me of that movie with Nicolas Cage. While exciting and fun, it was after all, just a thrilling movie. My opinion.
Now, who would I vote for? I actually dislike all candidates this election..however, if I had my druthers, it would be John Edwards. I'm almost positive where this will go from here, so have at it.
