Day 4
Feeling better today. The brain fog I've lived with for months has lifted somewhat and I have a pretty good day.

I slept a little bit better last night (thank God) but still woke up feeling a little tired and weak. My friend hasn't started his juice fast but seems to be building up to one. He knows what his body is telling him, just like I have to trust my own body. After juicing about 28 ounces of carrot, cucumber, and beets, I start to feel a bit better and spend a few hours doing some organizing around my apartment and getting some things done. My head is actually feeling a lot clearer today (as witnessed by the activities I'm able to do) and that is a great sign for me after almost five months of constant brain fog. Maybe this fasting will get me out of this hole after all. I have to return to my teaching job in less than two weeks so this is great news. This juice fast was like my last hope for getting me out of this CFS rut and hopefully getting me somewhat prepared for work again. The last few months of school (April, May, and June) were extremely difficult for me to get through and I wasn't sure if I could even think about teaching again this coming year. But today, I have HOPE. Juiced some watermelon and pineapple juice (about 28 ounces) and it tasted great.
I went out and did some errands, maybe overdoing it a bit but I'm feeling fairly good. A quick stop at the garden to pick some fresh cucumbers and squash and do some watering before returning home. My scale says I've lost about five pounds so far, after four days. That's nice also. Tonight, I drank about 24 ounces of carrot, cucumber, spinach, beet, and parsley juice with a little apple cider vinegar mixed in and then had an herbal detox tea later on. I'm thinking about adding some kind of vegetable broth to the mix sometime soon also
This is the best I've felt so far on my journey. What will the future hold? I'm so ready to find out.
