Day 5 on Cinco De'Mayo
Am I out of my mind?
Date: 5/5/2007 4:31:43 PM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 1856 times I had no idea that my fast was going to run through Cinco De' Mayo!! What was I thinking??
I love Mexican everything. Enchiladas, margaritas, tacos, margaritas, Corona, strawberry margaritas, guacomole, watermelon margaritas. Damn. Here I am saying "I love being prepared". Uh huh. I wasn't really, now was I? What a chump.
Just kidding. I really do love Cinco De Mayo though.
I used the last of my lemons this morning and I only have a smidge of maple syrup left. I debated on going to the store or not. I was going to wait and just go in the morning but I wasn't sure what time they opened. I didn't want to be this crazy woman standing at the door banging and shrieking to let me in. I'm hungry damn it!! Or worse yet...Let me in, I goota poo! That would be fun. So, I decided to venture out on this wonderful holiday.
I went to Whole Foods, which happens to be next to my favorite mexican restaurant Rosa Mexicana. YUMMY. I really thought I was going to be tempted. I wasn't. I was more amused by all the people that work there in their cute little sombreros. I was a little envious though. They had more samples out today than I have ever seen. Most of the samples they had out were things that I had seen before but was dubious to buy. Oh well. I just have to make a note to go on another holiday.
I feel unusually chipper today. I am getting ready to go out for a walk and then do some yoga. I wish I always felt as cherry as I do on a cleanse. I must be nuts.
