Stuff i did today...
Date: 4/28/2007 9:23:06 PM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 2127 times Okay, so I want this fast to get rid of all toxins in my mind/body/spirit, and give me a better attitude on life as well. That is what happens when you fast. You get a mind/body/spirit tune-up. Not only do you get healthier physically, you improve your clarity of mind, your sense of "Infinity" and get more in touch with yourself spiritually. It is truly a master cleanser.
But unlike The Master Cleanser, I will not be drinking any juices. The only thing I will drink is (salt)water, and some days I want to fast 'dry'. Ooh, I'm brave.
This is not my first fast, I've fasted for about a week once, and I've done raw food for like a month last year. I lost a lot of weight. I gained some of it back, but I'm much stronger because of it. The one time i went without eating for a long period of time, was out of anger, when I was fifteen, i went on a hunger-strike of sorts, but I don't consider that a fast. The results were the same though. I was amazingly clear-headed, and surrounded by a protective bubble of happiness. That's the only way I can explain it. Picture it--15 yrs old, riding the twinkie home from school, surrounded by loud-mouthed, sweaty, Unpleasant kids, only that i didn't really notice all that, i was in bliss--in my own little world. Everything was brighter, lighter, and comfortable. I guess it would have been like taking drugs, but I wouldn't know that (i won't take Midol).
I will be using other alternative therapies other that (salt)water fasting, like: skin brushing, netti, oil pulling, yoga, running, rebounding, hot tub/baths, enemas, and meditation. Maybe liver/gallbladder cleanses.
The most important thing about this fast is that when it's over, I want to be completely raw! Nothing cooked ever again (unless I feel like it, hehe) but i do think it's the right thing to do. Your body keeps cleansing on raw foods. It will keep doing the work that the fasting does.
I was bad last night, and had some chicken and ice cream, along with a lot of other raw foods, and whole wheat pasta. But that's all behind me now, as i want to focus on the future and not the past. I have been increasing the amount of raw foods that I eat, and I've come to find that my body Loves avacodo! It just makes me so happy to eat it! Try some wrapped in lettuce or seaweed--Yum!

Today, I ran seven laps around the track, and walked three. Took a warm-water enema, ate baked beans, before jogging too, and I also ate a pasta primavera, with sauteed vegetables and whole wheat pasta. I also had pita/salad.
