Re-setting the Clock
Slight alterations in the plan.
Date: 4/8/2007 3:31:48 PM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 1665 times So I ended the week on a bad note having coffee, more cigs, and some alcohol. Not a seriously huge thing, but I've decided to take a little more measured and calm approach to my program.
1) I'm resetting the clock. I am aiming for 30-days (as opposed to the previous 2 weeks) of:
a) Drinking 6-8 glasses of water.
b) 4 cigarettes or less/day
c) zero alcohol and zero coffee
d) around 50% of vegtables and fruit and my homemade soup(not heated over 118 degrees!) as my diet.
e) Daily stretchs/calisthenics and walks.
2) I still aim to complete the 60-detox program. This initial step though, is a pre-cleaning and preparation phase. I will be prepared to succeed with the program.
3) Continue to blog the experience.
It is important that I keep to these rules strictly. I found myself relenting to urges that were mostly merely self-suggestions. It is not as if I felt symptoms of lacking coffee. The problem was I had a taste for it, a desire, and I let myself believe somehow having coffee would make me feel better than taking a further step forward in my plan. I truely want to look behind me and see success in my health plan. I look forward to seeing 90 days of improvement in diet, exercise, and health. How can a cup of coffee be more satisfing than that???
