I’m a firm believer that whatever the situation, you will receive positive or negative feedback, if you pay attention. All day long people have been giving me unsolicited kudos about the baby. The early morning patient who decided to tell me about the birth of her daughter, 47 years ago. The lesbian who’s lover is currently pregnant and had a myomectomy like I did. I was curious how many C-sections I could have before I had to stop having children. Another patient came into the office and answered this unasked question. Btw the answer is 3, but I will check with my doctor to be on the safe side. When I went to the health food store last night, everything I needed was on the edge of every isle. The What to Expect While Your Expecting book that was waiting for me at the thriftstore.
My guy has been opening up about things he doesn’t like about my lifestyle (i.e. smoking, my car is too small). We are feeling a little closer to each other. I have started to tell him little imtimate personal things about my life, that up to this point I feel men don't have the right to know. Including my salary. I had never noticed the boundaries that have been all around us. I’m not sure if I put these boundaries in place, or if he helped. We both have been hurt by past relationships. I think that’s why we gelled. I never asked much of him and he never asked much of me. The baby is going to require the lion’s share of everything that we have. We are going to have to get things together. It’s nice to know that we are working in unison to create a more intimate relationship.
I know I posted already today but I feel so sure, full and excited, this is why I fast. Answers are out there but sometimes you have to get out of your own way to see them.
