Today is Day 2
plan of attack to drop 30 lbs.
Date: 7/6/2006 12:57:30 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2350 times So......for the past 2 weeks I have eaten a 95% raw food diet and I have been walking brisky for 1 hour each day. In 2 weeks, I have only lost 4 pounds. I wonder if it has had anything to do with the fact that I drank wine with dinner each evening and usually, more than one glass. My guess is, most likely.
I am 40 years old. Approximately 5'7, small frame and I weight 164 pounds. This is the most I have ever weighed in my life. I think people would refer to me as a beautiful fat girl. Recently, an aquaintance that I had not seen in 10 years ran into my daughter and I at Old Navy and she asked my daughter if she was so excited to be getting a little brother or sister! Talk about feeling down and completely embarrassed by that incident. I used to model in years past and I suppose I have just allowed myself to become a slave to my appetites. Needless to say, I am ready for a turn around.
My plan is to record my progress here online and I am totally open for your comments,suggestions or any motivational stories of your own weight loss victories relating to liquid fasting. I have a fabulous juicer and a very supportive family. My daughter and I are going to New York in mid August and I would like to look like my former self upon arrival at LGA. I want to feel alive again. I want to feel good about who I am and what I can accomplish. The reason I am chosing this method is because 15 years ago, before my wedding I lost 10 pounds on a 9 day juice fast. I understand that my age and metabolism has changed....yet, I am reading stories of people older that I having dramatic success in this amount of time.
So, here's what my plan looks like: wake up and have some green tea. Walk 1 hour. Drink water until I feel the need for juice. Start with some fruit juice (like today I had fresh grapefruit juice with Crystal Manna Super Foods Powder...no calories) then mid afternoon I plan to juice a heavily green based concoction...something like kale, celery, cucumber, lime, pineapple. I will continue to drink pure water between juicings. Then in the evening, I will have another green based juice.
