Day 7...Ready For A Change
We often can't help but feel impatient.

It can be said that life is a series of events waiting to happen. When we do the Master Cleanse, there are generally a number of steps we must take in order to prepare ourselves for the journey. Some individuals will go through various pre-cleanses such as parasite, colon, liver, etc. Other will adhere to a strict diet leading up to their cleanse, while still others may rely solely on the mental aspect of preparation. I tend to believe that many of us use a combination of things to prepare ourselves. What this means is that this big event in our life, (and yes I believe that anytime we do a cleanse it is a big event), is preceded by many days and nights of dreaming, planning, organizing, and waiting. This time in and of itself is anything but uneventful. In fact, it is rich with possibility and filled with opportunities for reflection and preparation. During this period of time, we are preparing ourselves internally and externally for the upcoming event that will define a new chapter in our lives.
Taking the cleansing journey one day at a time helps me to not lose focus on the reasons for doing this and not to become impatient. There are so many distractions around me everyday that are temptations for me to get side tracked from what it is I have set out to do. I have two young children that I am raising on my own and they need to eat three times a day. That obviously means that I have to go shopping a couple times a week. If it was just me and my lemons and my maple syrup, it would be much easier I suspect. But when it's all said and done and I have completed this particular chapter in my life by sticking to my goals and completing what it is I set out to do, the satisfaction I gain is tremendous. The years I am probably adding to my life and the healthier me can be devoted to my wonderful children, to ensure that their needs are met. These thoughts help me to remain fully engaged in the present and to look upon every cleanse that I do as a vital experience in itself.
Peace and happiness
