Progress
While transitioning to food, it is a great time to review what you really need
Date: 7/27/2006 12:47:02 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 3019 times I had my first BM this morning! I was so excited because of the typical worry about how you digestive system will do. No stress, no strain, our bodies really take care of us when we take the time to let it take care of itself.
This morning I had a lemonade for breakfast and blended watermelon for mid-morning snack. I'm looking forward to soup for lunch and a simple salad for dinner.
I have no desire for meat (although I'm not willing to give up eggs or dairy at this time). This longer fast has had a MUCH greater impact on my body and tastes. In fact, last night I had a caesar salad for dinner that really upset my stomach. I think it was the anchovy paste in the salad dressing that did it. I just needed to get it out of my system as soon a possible. Once I did I felt all better.
It makes me feel bad because, as of the last 6 months or so, my vegetarian daughter refuses to eat caesar dressing and I thought she was being a bit extreme. I didn't make her have it or anything but her little sister's favorite salad is caesar (and my hubby likes it too) so we eat it a lot with dinner. I always have to put some aside before adding dressing for my older daughter. A couple of times I forgot and had to remake a salad just for her. It never occurred to me nor did she ever mention that caesar may make her feel ill. I wasn't looking at the situation from her view as I should have. I need to have a chat with her about all this.
Truly,
Peanut
