Successful day!
It was a water-only day :-)
Date: 5/15/2006 10:25:49 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 3158 times I had water only today. I exercised for one hour and a half--one hour on the elliptical (6 miles, 800 calories), and 25 minutes running on the treadmill (100 calories). Hope I don't have cramps tomorrow from all the running...
Then around 6 pm I started to feel very cold, and I took a one-hour nap; when I woke up I was still cold, and I suddenly got a huge hunger pang. Psychological hunger, that is. I went into the kitchen and looked at the cheese and turkey that had just been brought in(during finals in every dorm there is food available all night). I then went back to my room, telling myself that it's just a craving and it will pass and being slim is better than a few seconds of taste. I also took a tablet of L-glutamine and one of tyrosine, and sure enough after half an hour it was like I had never felt any hunger. And after an hour, all signs of a craving were gone, and I was warmed up.
I tested my urine with a ketosis stick tonight and it was pink, so I'm burning fat. Not sure if the amino acids are affecting the fat burn, technically they should be used first for the brain's needs, especially since I only took very little of them.
Water-only tomorrow as well, and 30-60 minutes on the elliptical if I don't get cramps after today's workout.
