Day Three of Master Cleanse

Day Three

Wow, am I weak today. I felt like how you feel at the end of the flu, really weak and shaky and light headed, too. I had dropped another pound this morning, which is always encouraging. People are starting to talk about my weight loss! My pants are actually baggy, when they used to be tight. I can move them up and down on my hips now! My skin feels great, too, incredibly soft and dewey. We are dry brushing every day before ours baths and then putting some epsoms salts in the bath water. When I went to make up my lemonade I realized why it didn't seem like I had too much to drink yesterday, it was because I accidentally only used 30 oz. of water instead of 60! No wonder I feel so awful today, I guess I'm kind of dehydrated. I always get really spacy after a liver flush, kind of like how they tell you not to sign any legal documents, you know, after taking medication or having surgery! Now I know how goofy it can really make you. So...I'm back on track and a little better by this afternoon. I'm not too very hungry, although I do think about it from time to time. I am amazed at how often the idea of eating comes up, more than the actual food for nourishment idea. Like when I got my baby to bed last night I thought, OK...now I can relax and have some popcorn. I think it's so easy to get into a habit or routine of eating at a certain time more for pleasure than for actual need. My baby has food allergies to so many things that his eating, and mine when I was nursing, has been reduced to not so big of a selection as most people eat. That, coupled with Ron's choices of not eating red meat (me, too) or any chicken at all, no cheese, etc. has really limited what we can eat and even more just the convenience of eating. It's not easy to eat with other people because of this, unless we go out occasionally and order what we like. I miss the socialness of eating. The upside to this is that we are making very healthy choices that are effecting our lives on a daily basis. We do have variety and are always excited to try new recipes or sometimes premade items we find at the grocery store that are healthy. Oh, the salt water (4 cups of it with 2 tsps of salt...we used celtic because of the minerals) wasn't bad at all, in fact I kind of liked it because I needed something to drink so badly. The lemonade is really good. It's surprising how it helps curb the hunger the comes every now and then. I was hungrier yesterday that today. Ron is doing good. He just put his suitpants on and they are several inches too big! They fell about three inches below his waistline. He got weak a few times today, but his nap helped recharge him for work tonight. His hunger is pretty much gone...remember he's 24 hours ahead of me on this because I did a liver flush. His tongue looks a little better. The senna tea we drank last night worked on both of us this morning, as did the salt water. The tea gave Ron stomach cramps pretty bad so I won't steep it as long for him as it said to on the label. I had the chocolate, which was OK, but not as yummy as some of the blogs indicated. Maybe I was too optimistic in comparing it too a candy bar! I can definitely do this, though, and am so encouraged to think of what's happening in my body on a cellular level. This beats any kind of medication that was recommended to me for back pain (broken tailbone) and arthritis. I hope this will help my body heal things up. I'm going to take a little nap for now and hope the rest of you are having as much success at this as we are. Please post your results and let us know!
