MC3 Ends

Day 11 Ends the Saga

Hello CZ'ers.

I ended my third Master Cleanse fast on day 11.

I have mixed emotions.

I had hoped to go for 21 days, but I ended it 10 days short of my goal, primarily because of the way it was affecting my relationship with my best friend. I also was suffering through some pretty lackluster lessons at work, as I had a hard time mustering my usual enthusiasm in the classroom. I felt for my students, man, some of those lessons were so BOOOOOORING!!

It should be noted that otherwise I felt FANTASTIC! I don’t want to turn anyone off of the MC, which I really believe in. It’s just that I was just really far away the whole time, detached as they say. Hard to communicate with was another way it was put to me, call it what you will. I was told this on my previous fasts, but this was the first one where I really felt it too.

Funny, I wasn't hungry at all when made this decision and had no idea as to what my first meal would be. It ended up being a spinach salad with miso dressing, and while it was good, it didn't have the 'OMG! This is what I've been dreaming about for 10 days' taste I encountered upon ending my first two MC's.

I have no idea how much weight I lost, as I fasted for cleansing and not weight loss, but I can tell that I dropped a few lb's as I need to wear a belt now or my jeans will fall down.

And yes, there will be a MC4, sometime early next year. I would like to do an extended one, 21 days or more and discover the mental benefits that are supposed to be gained after the 21-day mark. I am hoping Z will be in a better place by then and I'll be able to do it without the tension.

Okay, well, I feel like I let the CZ down a bit, as I said over and over how 21 days was the goal and here I am eating a banana (how appropriate) on what would have been day 13. Sorry folks. I have been pretty good about achieving my goals recently, but alas, not this time.

Now I have to find something else to post about :)

Have a great weekend everybody,
-MONK
