Santa Cruz
Day 6 in Santa Cruz, Nayarit, mexico- in the jungle foothills of the Serra Nevada
Date: 12/13/2005 7:51:36 PM ( 20 y ) ... viewed 2442 times I am in Santa Cruz, Nayarit, Mexico. I am a a beautiful retreat location named Encanto with Jim and Gordon, and Gino. I am having Gaspacho, a chicken dish with rice and a wonderful dessert made with a fruit that I have never seen before-green and string with papaya and creme fraiche on top...Oh and percolated coffee with evaoporated milk.
Jim cooks and Gordon waits on us Pat, Doug, Gino and I eat and joke with the "help", this is a wonderful spiritual resort...sounds much like Jnaki's community on Lapis's create a community. Jim has 7 acres in the jungle with birds and butterflys that I have never seen before- not in Cancun, not in guadalajara- not on the baja- really an enchanted place....hence the name Encanto=enchanted.
I am introducing this wonderful retreat to my Midtown Spiritual Community and I hope we will have a retreat in the next 4-6 months.
What a host Jim is.....
There are less Jejenes, mosquitos up here in the foothills of Serra Nevadas, there is more jungle and chiggers, ticks and that sort of insect. We keep our arms covered, and most of our legs. Pat, my webmaster, is immune after 30 years of living here off and on!
I am in love with the people the wildlife and the community. The ex-pats are a group of rugged individualists...some Canadians and some from the USA...A kiwi that I met yesterday...this is a great place to relax and soak up the local ambiance.
Tomorrow, the dentist, and the beach-Adios Curezone Community.
Jim's website- O h and btw Jim is a renown driftwood artist- and has whimsical characters hung in local eateries and actually had a show at the cultural center
