Should I or shouldn't I? (Sunday, April 3, 2005)
Should I or shouldn’t I, that is the question. Yes, I shall do the dreaded liver flush--tonight!

Since I last posted (three days ago), I have been taking my liver herbs and eating more fresh veggies and fruits. I have also been eating some cooked food, but the most important thing, IMO is that I have upped my raw. I have continued to enjoy the sun, and even though today is overcast, I may still indulge in a nap outside under the clouds. I haven’t been getting as much sleep these past two nights as I usually do, and though I’ve been a little sleepy, I haven’t had to deal with the deep, deep tiredness that I usually have when I am sleep deprived. This tiredness usually manifests itself as an ache in my chest as well as the inability to handle life.
I began the day today as I do every Sunday morning—I went to church and worshiped my Lord and my God. I prayed for my health and for others’ health and well-being during these difficult days. There is so much uncertainty when you are trying something new. And there is nothing like the profound peace of God.
I have vacillated back and forth about whether or not to do my liver flush today. I really like to eat, and in the past, I have prepared to do a flush and stuck with the prep for the better part of the day, and then ditched at the last moment. The thing is, I know that if I do this thing today, I will be better prepared and inspired to do what I need to do for my body as my EVENT draws near. I feel good today. I’ve been taking my liver herbs. I’ve only had two apples and a double Emergen-C with fresh lemon juice. I’m well prepared. I can do this. I want to do this. I will do this liver flush today.
Instead of cutting my food/drink off at 2 p.m., I will cut it at 3, because it really is 2 p.m. if you disregard daylight savings time. (I would prefer to disregard it, and this is my little personal jab at the whole concept.) I’ll have my Epsom salt in water or juice of some kind at 7 and 9, & then I’ll slam back the oil & grapefruit juice, along with my ornithine capsules, at 11. Of course, I will throw in a hot bath somewhere, and although I want to have an infrared sauna, I think the water loss today would not be a good thing. I do not want to get dehydrated. I think I'll go enjoy that hot bath now.
As an aside, since I have been closely cognizant of each aspect of my diet, I have noticed that when I eat wheat, I develop heart palpitations. This is interesting. I guess maybe I have a food allergy... I suppose more offending foods will rear their ugly heads when I finally make it to the master cleanse and beyond.
