4 weeks to prepare - day 1
Day 1 of 4 week preparation for a 40 day spiritual water fast.
Date: 3/26/2005 10:13:27 AM ( 19 y ) ... viewed 3349 times In four weeks I will finally have the time to do what the spirit has commanded me to do about 2 years ago - a spiritual water fast for 40 days. I have been preparing for the last 2 years: I became a raw foods person and conducted shorter water fasts and a month long juice fast as well as the Arse shine, err... arise and shine colon cleanse.
When I was fasting before, I noticed a tremendous increase in energy, a sense of well-being and satisfaction. My psychic and visionary abilities became stronger, the stars and the ocean softly whispered into my being secrets that are mine to keep :) I feel as though cellular memory was getting unlocked, teaching me secrets of our existence. My body was litteraly on fire, muscles hot and almost achy. I took daily warm baths and swam in the ocean. I lost some weight but put it back on when I started working in a kitchen a couple of months later. I understand it is a regular occurence for people, if so, I would resign myself to be the weight my body wants to be, I am a healthy woman 5'9 and 140 lbs. Not model skinny but curvy and soft.
This week to prepare I will phase out dinner and fast from lunch to breakfast, about 18 hours. I will start each day with a psyllium husk shake, to add bulk and keep things moving as well as create the illusion of fullness, I will substitute dinner with a psyllium shake as well. I am supplementing myself with Nano-B vitamins, ionic minerals (NOT colloidal - ask me why), enzymes, aminos, and fresh juices. I will start reading more sacred texts as my sould will be more ready to receive the divine presense. I will keep a private journal of emotions and feelings and will use affirmations to create healthy thought patterns instead of the old ones.
