Insomnia Reigns Supreme
To sleep, perchance to dream
Date: 3/16/2005 10:15:25 AM ( 19 y ) ... viewed 2045 times I slept so poorly last night. Weird dreams when I did sleep. Woke myself up talking in my sleep. I don't mind that when I wake myself up laughing, but these were troublesome dreams. This too shall pass.
Am drinking a cup of mostly decaf coffee as I write this, and realise that in 2 more days I will be completely caffeine free. I don't drink soft drinks, I haven't since I was about 15 years old, but have been a coffee ADDICT since the wee age of 6 when my parents would let me put coffee in my milk.
I was over at a close friend's house yesterday who eats as though she were still 15. Lots of hot dogs, bologna, Wonder bread, powdered donuts, Oreos, brownies ad nauseam at her house. The only thing that might have tempted me before this week was the brownies, but yesterday it smelled funny and I wasn't craving sweets like I normally do in the week preceding my cycle. Wish I could help her to eat better. She's eaten that way since I've known her (since our early 20's and we are now 40-somethings) and I can't imagine her changing. Still, one can try.
I can't believe I have today plus 3 more days until I start my cleanse. The only thing that gives me pause is (gasp, and drum roll, please...) the SWF!!!! Friends who have done the cleanse say to hold my nose and simply guzzle it and let it do its thing. I wonder if I am supposed to do it the very first morning. Shall have to re-read the book yet again and perhaps ask on the forum.
My skin already looks better. Am attributing it to all of the fruit and veggies I am eating along with not eating milk or yogurt or cheese and weaning off of coffee. Can't believe my dark undereye circles are about 50-60% better. Who knows what a full cleanse will do. Ahhhh, time will tell. It always does...
