San Blas
I am in Mexico and after a harrowing American Airlines flight- and a 3 hour Mexican bus ride- I have arrived in a sensual tropical paradise
Date: 12/11/2005 10:36:05 AM ( 20 y ) ... viewed 1861 times I am in the jungle 3 hours north of Puerta Vallarta- Wht a trip! Planes, trains, and automobiles-if you saw the movie you've got the idea!
But, Oh my God, it is heart rendering beautiful- yes, the streets are dirty, but the people are beautiful! And the fruits that grow wild in my yard, bananas, coconuts (good luck getting them open) and mngoes right off the tree. The birds- twittle, twattle, whistle, and chirp...and the small fishing skiffs are tied up at my doorstep.
I have a shitload of issues to deal with when I get home but I m in heaven now...
One of the locals and I do yoga at 6am every moring to Kundalini chants. I've got a feeling it will only get better with time. I am cooking up a load of black beans on what amounts to a camp stove that one lights with a match! I have a dried ancho chile cooking in with the beans and a head of garlic. Later today i will get some oil or lard (if that all that's available) and heat it on highe put small amounts of beans and mash them with more garlic and spices.
I have fresh handmade tortillas every morning...I'll fry some of those up and make tostadas and top with jalisco cheese (soft cheese) and avocado. I am inheaven cooking.
This fternoon we are going on a busride to a local surf break and do some body surfing. This caresses the skin and the soul with silky warmth as one glides through the surf. Yesterday the water was 72 degrees-but the air was 85 degrees and HUNID!
I am sleeping, oh am I sleeping..tomorrow I am going to the 4am service at the Catholic church (HAHAHAHAHAH!) the Catholics here have Sadhana tooo! They believe in worshipping at 4-5am as do the Shiks! I am getting on line to see what the commanality is for worship at daybreak among the various religions...It will be fascinating if there is a common thread therough the mystical traditions!
I may arrange my life so I may live down here part of the year...as my webmster does! OOOPs I'm supposed to be practising my FTP and jasic programs...
