Location : First Unitarian Universalist Church
3190 Front Street
(Across from UCSD Medical Center)
SERVICES LED BY AHOUVA STEINHAUS
The Double Parsha this week is Behar-Behukotai
We learn about letting the land rest every 7th year- its the Shmita year
and the blessing of the Yovel- the Jubilee year every 50 years when all the land gets returned to its original owners
We meditate and create new visions of 50 and what it means for us on many levels ( bring your creativity and playfulness!).
And we look at what it means for the land, and for us, to rest!
It is the 39th day of the Omer Count, the Quality of Endurance within Foundation
How do we bring the energies of endurance and persistence to building a secure foundation, for our health for example?
It is also the end of the book of Leviticus and the day we bless the upcoming new month of Sivan
It is ten days before the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai- Shavuot-
So we are preparing ourselves for that great revelation!
Directions to UU Church:
Directions: Take 163 or 5 to Washington Street in Hillcrest. From 163, go west and turn right onto First Avenue. From 5, go east (up the hill) and turn left onto First Avenue. In a few blocks, First makes a left turn and becomes Arbor Street. The entrance to the church parking lot is just across the street from the entrance to UCSD medical center. When you enter the church complex from the south entrance off the parking lot, go past the first group of rooms and turn left to room 112, the Common Room

Sunday June 10 3pm
Meeting followed by Vegetarian Potluck
at Ahouva and Albert's
3310 Laurel St in North-South Park
We will expand upon our discussion from last year about our direction and programming.
Think about ways you might want to be involved in creating the community that will nourish, support and contribute to your vision.
Directions: From the north, take 805 south to University/North Park Way exit (3 exits south of I-8). Get into the left lane of the off ramp and make a 90 degree left turn at the stop sign onto 33rd St. Go 1 mile to Laurel (there is a slight jog to the right around a church/school at Nutmeg after you pass Redwood) and park at the corner of 33rd. Walk left into the dead end of Laurel and look for the white house on the left, 3310.
