"20 years ago at my acupuncture conferences, there was nothing
like this lovely aromatic love and spirit filled booth.
Thank you for this peaceful remembrance
of our interconnectedness."--
Katie Mink, L.Ac, owner, director Bancroft Center
of Chines Medicine, Berkeley
"I am sure most of you have noticed
the beautiful altar and the abundance
of herbs and vegetables that we had set up by the registration
table. The person responsible for that is Leslie Goldman,
he's our Conference Enchanted Gardener. Each year he brings
that beautiful display that sets a wonderful tone
to our conference.
Leslie has a brief ceremony
about planting our herbs, and bringing Chinese Medicine
to even greater fruition in this country."
--Jack Miller, President Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.

Whole Foods Market Hillcrest
made up this bouquet of Tropical
Flowers for the main podium.
The other flowers were from the
Rodriquez Family, and locally grown.
Whole Foods Market Hillcrest, is a hop skip and a jump
down the 163 Freeway from Pacific College. One of my
goals is to encourage students to shop there through the year,
as well as the local Hillcrest Farmers' Market.
Local organically grown foods, including lettuce and strawberries in season
from the Rodriguez Family, are featured in the local section
of Whole Foods Market Hillcrest, and in other Whole Foods Markets,
including the La Jolla and new Tustin store.

"Dear Leslie,
Thank you for your thoughtfulness in creating this beautiful Altar and
allowing people like myself to remember the core of why we are here,
and what a beautiful supportive planet we live on and with."

"I am a student at the Pacific College in New York City. This is my first time
on the West Coast. Everything is so amazing here. I love what you have set up.
It helps us hang on to our dreams." --comment on feedback sheet.
Each person who planted a dream wrote out their Seed Dream twice.
One copy was taken home. One copy was placed in this basket, and asked
to bless the dreams before their own with the ritual of tossing seeds
on the dreams in the basket. This is a photo the Seed Dreams of placed
in the basket.

She lives in Florida.
We had fun!
Dania was so impressed with the effects of
breathing in the fres herbs that she brought a friend
bt the next day. She gave him a fresh aroma treatment,
rubbing her hand on herbs and then bringing her hand
close to her friends face,
"Leslie, I can't believe that you've moved me that quickly
and that deeply. You've reminded me of my Soul's Purpose."

Friends of the Farm.
Four Farmers from our local Hillcrest
Farmers' Market had their locally, grown,
fresh picked produce at the Pacific Symposium.
Dennis' squash were used in the conference design.
My goal is to encourage the local students of acupuncture
to shop the Sunday Hillcrest Farmer's Market. Each farmer
had their photos next to their produce.

I haven't had a real guava for a long time Until I tasted one of yours.
Heavenly! Thanks. P.S. The guavas we had in Taiwan when I was younger

crispy, but doesn't have the full flavor like the ones you grew! Good Job!:
