Life is?? #119 Let freedom ring out!
** There has always been social tension and indifference in the world. Yet the greatest growth and freedom has occurred in the USA over the past 200 years! **
Date: 8/25/2017 10:26:50 PM ( 7 y ) ... viewed 555 times While race may have played a part in the 1800's and early half of the 1900's in the USA - there were several things involved. One was the Mainly Anglo- European society and Christian culture in the USA.
The other is the western world accepted views on slavery!
Like most all groups in the world; each tends to keep their own culture primary over foreigners or any others who were different.
If you look beyond the facade in most of the world's different cultures - it will often show that there has always been some friction and indifference.
Different groups specifically when they are in charge of a nation - dominate and control the society - using whatever to favor their views and ethnic group! This has been human nature since time began - it is just more prolific today due to the mass media information available and the faster mode of transportation!
Control and changes have been based upon race, religions, sectionalism, tribalism and just general ethnic differences - through out most of history. Mainly geographic isolation has kept this localized and limited.
It only since the mass exploration by the Europeans in the last 500 years that communication and transportation have removed or over came many of these obstacles. Which had limited these elements; and allow for more social integration!
Looking at real USA history there was some wrong or out of place actions! But comparing the USA on a worldwide social scale will there has been much more tolerance over the years than in most ancient nations.
Actually, the USA started and eventually allowed the general changes which are now recognized as today's basic human freedoms. If any country allowed the development and free movement of personal social interaction that the USA has; things would improve!
There has always been social tension and indifference in the world. Yet the greatest growth and freedom in recent history has occurred in the USA over the past 200 years! If any country could be posted as the one who made the greatest difference in modern times it would be the USA.
Much of this development happened because the USA was basically a Christian nation based upon Biblical principles. While not perfect by any means or always right; but it has been mankind's best attempt up to this time in history! The USA has been an example and hopes for many in the world today!
The unfortunate thing is that most of the world thinks - that they need to move to the USA to benefit - which is wrong and impossible! What many need to do is help reshape their society and nation to have basic freedoms enjoyed in the USA.
This needs to happen in every country - let freedom ring out and the people will benefit and the nations will glow and grow.
Thank God for our liberty!
