"All You Need Is Love"
What if The Beatles were right?
Date: 4/14/2016 7:14:05 AM ( 8 y ) ... viewed 1636 times I'm starting the blog entry at 4:54 AM. I believe it was within the past hour that I had a kind of inner dialogue with a line of "thinking" that Jesus could have declared himself as not only "the way, the truth and the life"[1] but also as the Law fulfilled since he embodied Divine Love!
Then moments before I began reading "The reason it is necessary to make all the laws that govern the relationships between human beings, is because they are not yet inhabited by love."[2]
(How's that for serendipity?)
In my household there is a "movement" toward writing a Vision/Mission statement and some kind of goals. The idea (at least for one individual) is to have stability, sustainability, security, etc. so they have this place to live in over the next five years. What if The Beatles were right with "All You Need Is Love"?

Also - There appears to be a number of songs with the title: "Love Has Found a Way". One of the first ones came out in 1970 and recorded by the group Spirit.[3]

Does all this talk about love need a counter balance? If so I offer the following:
"The Buddha said little about evil per se but he had a lot to say about the three 'roots of evil': greed, ill will and delusion. Today they have become institutionalized: our economic system institutionalizes greed,[4] militarism is institutionalized ill will[5] and our powerful media mega-corporations institutionalize delusion.[6] They are the main ways our collective shadow operates today."

"Connecting with others physically or emotionally has been shown to increase oxytocin, a stress-reducing hormone related to bonding."[7]

I imagine that "All You Need Is Love" qualifies as an ideology.
