20. Miracles are an industrial necessity. Industry depends on cooperation, and cooperation depends on miracles.16
Correction: And don't lose sight of the emphasis on cooperation, or the not singular. That point about 'industrial necessity' should read 'corporate,' referring to the body of Christ which is a way of referring to the Church. But the Church of God is only the sum of the souls he created, which is the corporate body of Christ. ...."[1]
Although I have been a student of "A Course In Miracles" over the past sixteen years this is the very first time I am reading about "The Earlier Versions and the Editing of A Course in Miracles
by Robert Perry". I'm intrigued. I intend to pursue the reading again. In the meanwhile I will say I recognize the "correction" by Jesus concerning "corporate" and that it refers to the corporate "body of Christ" which is the Church. I lived in the everyday realization of this in a Church community for a full seven year cycle.
Just began reading the "Urtext"[2]
22. The point should read “A miracle reawakens the awareness that the spirit, and not the body, is the altar of Truth. This is the recognition that leads to the healing power of the miracle.”
The above findings are all a result of my initial search for ACIM+alter!
