Update on supplementation
Date: 6/18/2014 6:37:40 PM ( 10 y ) ... viewed 9804 times I'm up to 14 vitamins and supplements a day now, and the latest ones, Hawthorne Berries, CoQ10 and more B-12, seem to be doing some good. I'm also taking the Dopa-Mucuna and the Acetyl-L-Carnitine on a more regular basis, and started back on a low dose of MSM.
I really think the Hawthorne Berries have been the most helpful. I am not having nearly as much pain in my joints, especially my feet, and I think it's because most of it was caused by fluid retention. The only problem is that the minute I stop taking the Hawthorne Berries, the fluid starts building back up, so there is something serious going on here.
I suspected heart failure, which would make sense, since I was raised eating all the wrong foods. I'm researching what to do to remove plaque from my arteries. Niacin seems like a good supplement for that, but I read you have to take it under a doctor's supervision, so I don't know. Of course, that is also for mega doing, and I don't plan on doing that, but wonder if it will do any good if I don't. It seems mega doses of 1+ grams is the only amount that help remove plaque. I'm not comfortable taking that on my own.
I'm looking into Linus Pauling's site to learn about mega-dosing with C and taking Lysine.
