Day 5
...and feeling fine...well, maybe a little nutty..
Date: 3/9/2014 8:46:16 PM ( 10 y ) ... viewed 1146 times SOOOO...still not feeling 100% - persistent cough & nasal congestion- But I am NOT complaining. I promised myself before starting that I would not allow myself to think of this fasting journey in a negative light- I knew it would be hard- as I am going to find out since I am only on day 5! - but I don't want to whine, complain on how hard the fast is or how bad I feel because I am not eating. Period. I just think that it is counterproductive to be negative & that it doesn't help me in the journey that is meant to lead me to new beginnings. I have failed with negative thinking before and I just want to be triumphant with this one.
So today I was able to watch t.v. & amazing! I only watched a few hours. I watched it while on the thread mill this morning - 1 hour.(just walked - want to take it easy with the workouts) I watched the movie Gravity with the hubby, and that was it. BTW - I really liked the movie. I wasn't sure that it would live up to all the rave reviews. Glad that it did.
Sure, I've had the t.v. on as background noise - so as I can "catch up" on the nonsense on the DVR - but I am proud of myself. I have gotten a lot done around the house...I feel lighter!
I have been drinking veggie and orange juice today ---the
V-8 juice...oh, it's just hard for me to swallow..sooooo, I added a few splashes of lime juice & hot sauce....YUMMY!
Just like the bloody Mary's I did enjoy...but better! No headache!!! LOL
oh, and I also had coconut water too.
I didn't get to read the book I mentioned yesterday(kind had a feeling that would happen)...BUT, I did finish a book on my kindle - IT WAS GOOD! enough to keep my mind occupied. I would recommend - 'The Remains' by Vincent Zandri. I also ordered a book on my kindle called, Detox your spirit 40 days of Fasting & Prayer by Charles Magaiza. It is basically 40 days of devotional inspirational daily guide of scripture to read along while you are on a fast. It was only .99 & had great reviews. I bought it - but after it was downloaded on my kindle, I noticed on the cover that the author on the front page was listed as 'Apostle Vincent Zandri.' I dont' know why, but that bothered me. I thought it might have been due to the time of night I was reading (around 11-ish)....but it just struck me as odd that an author would call himself an Apostle. I guess in my mind, only the Son of God himself named his apostles, so how can we do that..without God's blessing? For now, I will leave it be & just read the daily inspirations and not misinterpret & judge on what I know nothing about. Crazy, my mind is like...."is that even legal!!!??" LOL
"CAN HE REALLY DO THAT???!!!!"...can anyone just call themselves an 'Apostle'??!!!" LOL, ,LOL -cracking up here...maybe the lack of food is going to my brain! oh wait, I was already on my way to being brain dead!!! LOL
