"Tax Experts" vs. Tax Knowledge Based On The Organic Laws
"Taxable Income" by Larken Rose plus "Basic Constitutional Taxation According to the Organic Laws of the United States of America" by Dr. Ed Rivera

An astounding amount of money is spent every year, not just on the actual taxes, but on paying tax experts to delve into the treacherous jungle of the federal tax code and come out with a solid number representing the client’s tax liability.
It’s no secret, however, that different tax-law witch doctors will end up with different bottom lines, based upon the same set of financial facts—strengthening even more the impression that deciphering the tax laws is more like astrology than mathematics."[1]
I know a professor who admits not knowing the tax law and not interested in understanding it but apparently perfectly willing to hire an accountant and /or tax "expert" to determine the tax liability. This professor also admitted that if they made a mistake in making too high of a determination that it really doesn't matter in their mind. This makes me wonder how many Americans think like this as I suspect that there are many! Imagine many Americans perfectly willing to hire a so-called tax expert and willingly paying whatever amount that individual says to pay regardless of whether or not they actually have a tax liability. Larken fully shows how this kind of ignorance regarding actual tax liability is so!

Another professor offers penetrating knowledge as to the Organic Law basis for taxation.
The Law history on taxation goes back to the British Colonial days when the King imposed his taxes on the Colonists without representation and that resulted in the American Revolution where the King and his taxes were completely rejected and tossed out of the new American States. However another tax system was reinstated as of the fourth Organic Law commonly referred to as "the Constitution"[2]. What is needed to be understood is that "the Constitution" is not the origin of the new tax system. Taxation returned under the "United States in Congress Assembled" via the third Organic Law known as the Ordinance for the Northwest Territory.
The following is the work of Dr. Ed Rivera, my professor of Law. To understand this quote most likely will require becoming one of his students at the Organic Law Institute.:
"The Senate as the former, United States in Congress assembled under the Articles of Confederation, is essential to the operation of the Confederacy, while the House of Representatives only function is to appear to represent the American people in 'Acts of pretended Legislation,' as that legislation is legally only applicable in territory or with respect to other property belonging to the United States of America."[3]

In order to gain true understanding of the legal basis for taxes we have to talk about what the actual Law says. Understanding tax law requires that we "suspend" over beliefs and assumptions about the Lawful jurisdiction of government. Accomplishing this can be considered as a kind of "hero's journey" for a number of reasons that I'll briefly present here.
As American Citizens most of us were raised and conditioned to think in certain ways about government just as we were indoctrinated to believe during our twelve + years of public education. One of the main factors in this indoctrination program was that we not know what the Law truly says about both government jurisdiction and therefore the basis of that as a condition for the power to tax. We can gain access to law books such as the United States Code but what does the "Code" actually say about who is liable for taxes? The problem with understanding tax law has been acknowledged by Presidents and even tax professors who have said the tax code is impossible to understand! Even if we realize that the Lawful basis for taxes must be reflected in "The Constitution" we have "authoritative" sources that say even this document is not "self-explanatory"[6].
I have previously blogged on this subject matter including one regarding "tax experts". If one were to go to several different tax consultants to "have their taxes done" each consultant would independently come up with a different figure! Even these so called "experts" are lacking in complete knowledge and understanding of their area of "expertise". The reason is fundamentally the same as it is for the rest of the American people only with these Tax experts" they have an additional investment in perpetuating the ignorance of the Law so people remain in that dark about taxes and are lead to believe they need one of these "experts" to "do their taxes".
The biggest challenge here is overcoming this ignorance, starting with all the beliefs, assumptions as well as the fears of prosecution that have disempowered individuals from gaining liberating knowledge! Most fortunately this very challenge has been squarely faced by a number of "heroes" over the years largely behind the scenes. The tremendous insights have shed light on the subject to the benefit of those who would welcome it. One of those heroes is Dr. Ed Rivera who is the founder of the Organic Laws Institute of which I am a member. Although I had known the limitations of Federal Income Tax liability before becoming professor Rivera's student I didn't know full extent of the limitations for all of government's Lawful jurisdiction. Approaching "true understanding of the legal basis for taxes" by way of the four Organic Laws as Dr. Rivera teaches it is IMO the only truly sound way to proceed. You'll not only get clear about the tax issue you'll recover a greater freedom - the freedom from government - just as was given to us by way of the first two Organic Laws: the Declaration of Independence with that freedom still intact under the second Organic Law: the Articles of Confederation.
Here's a real life example of "the "challenge" (as expressed by an individual American business owner) that needs to be overcome probably with an unlimited self-empathy. The individual writes:
"The fact that ... half my taxes are going to pay for bombs being dropped on innocent people is itself more than enough reason to look for any alternative but I suspect there is no easy way out of this and if you want to fight the cartel you may end up spending as much time and money as just going along with the extortion."
Several assumptions here tell me this individual has not adopted "The Four Agreements"! ; ~ )

I have great appreciation for the tremendous work, findings and generosity of Larken Rose as well as his fortitude in enduring all the direct attacks apparently from the "federal government" regarding his publicizing what the IRS Code in Title 26 actually says about "taxable income". (However, when he says: "deciphering the tax laws is more like astrology" apparently either doesn't know the science behind astrology or he's referring to tabloid astrology. In any case - I forgive him! ; ~ )

[7] The "light of the Constitution" can only be seen within context of the other three Organic Laws. "Every statute" includes the tax code. Earlier versions of the code made reference to exemptions under the Constitution however recent editions omitted those statements. Nevertheless "the light of the Constitution" is still required when reading the statutes and this light originated with the preceding Organic Laws.
