Preparing for my 16 day Fast
I would love to have a fasting buddy.

My first preparation was to pick out the fasting days. How did I get here? I've been gaining weight and eating badly for a couple of months now. I was a solid 170/175 lbs. I weighed myself yesterday and I am 189 point something. For you folks not on the metric, that's 13.5 stones. Almost 200 lbs. In 2009 I was 240 lbs and crossing back over to the two hundreds scares me. I did some fasting when I lost the initial seventy pounds and I've kept the weight off for two years and only recently with bad choices have I been gaining.
I've tried to fast a few times but fail after a day or a few hours ... I tried exercising, jogging every morning and walking the treadmill every night and boy was it frustrating to not see the digits move even with that! A co-worker mentioned to me "it's your diet more than your exercise regimen". Which annoyed me, because it was the right observation. If I fast for three days I see more progress than a month of good exercising. Please understand that I do not promote starving yourself. I did an abundance of research on fasting before I did my first one, which was incredibly rewarding. I became interested in fasting after learning about the Ramadan tradition.
I'm taking some time off from work which coincides with holiday dates I will already have off so it turns into this nice long 16 day break. Being away from people makes it very easy for me to fast. I've said I will be out of town and this has eliminated any problems.
I usually would over eat right now but I've just been freely eating. Have two slices of pizza with brownies, instead of one slice with just a bit of brownie. I've been shoving some things in my freezer to keep and I havent bought more groceries beside some carrot juice I saw on sale. There are so many sweets in my house right now that were given as gifts. I havent decided what to do with them just yet.
I will take vitamins daily. I possibly will drink liquid protein too through out this fast. I'm going to try to blog every other day or even every day. I will travel towards the end of my fast and that might create delays.
I would love to have a fasting buddy. I would even switch mobile phones so we can text easily. Or I can install a chat app on my device. I've just signed up for my account here on curezone today, but have been lurking for a while. I'm hoping this blog will help keep me motivated and focused. So send me messages and comments!
