Day 2 of Water Fast – So far so Good!

My daily Journey to a healthier life style

January 3, 2010

Today was okay. I felt better then I did the night before and got more sleep then I was able to get the night before. I feel really silly that I had that attack, since I haven't had one in three years. My mother believes that it was the red meat eating, the cheese eating and the bit of wine that I had which triggered it. The one lesson I really learned was that I really need to do another gall bladder/liver flush as well. But I am going forward with my Water fast and then re-feeding which I will add a lot of fresh apple juice (by using my juicer) or in a tight spot such as for lunch use only organic apple juice. I will be doing this so that I will soften the gall stones that I do have in my gallbladder and then do a liver flush/gall bladder flush.

I have been feeling a bit of stress when it comes to New Year with out Phil. Even though I have been trying very hard to keep my head up with positive thoughts regarding starting a NEW year with so many possibilities at my grasp. I think I am a little bit afraid of the unknown as well as still hurting over losing Phil. I get home and some what mill around the house, like I am really trying to figure out what I am doing alone again. I was in my bathroom cleaning a bit. I was finally washing off and away all the little hairs that Phil left around my sink. Honestly it drove me nuts, because every time I would wash the sink, he would trim his beard/goatee (what ever he was aiming for at the moment) or cut PJ's hair and there would be hair all over the sink, the soap and my little jewelry dish. It was a sad thing to be doing, as even though it was annoying. I was sad because I was washing away a presence that Phil and PJ lived with me. While I was in the bathroom, I happened to look at my magazine rack and saw the book. “If I am so great, then why am I still single” I haven't looked at the book in a long while. I didn't pick it up, but I am seriously thinking about setting a 2011 reading list that I have to accomplish. Not books that are pleasure reading, but a bit of self help books.

So far where is the small list that I have come up with, since I do have these books and I haven't read them yet.

1.10 Stupid Things Women Do To Mess Up Their Lives by Dr. Laura Schlessinger

2.If I am So Great, Then Why Am I Still Single by Susan Page

3.I kissed Dating Goodbye by Joshua Harris ( just started reading the other day)

4.Love Dare by Stephen Kendrick ( Started reading in 2010 but didn't finish)

5.Your Best Life Now by Joel Osteen ( Started reading in 2010 but didn't finish)

6.Power of Intention by Wayne Dyer ( Started reading in 2010 but didn't finish)

7.Captivating: Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman's Soul by Stacsi and John Eldredge ( Started reading in 2010 but didn't finish)

8.The YOU that Could Be by Dr. Fitzhugh Dodson ( Started reading in 2010 but didn't finish)

I guess I can say that I should read at least one of these in the coming 8 months, and I will find another 3 books later on that will be part of my mandatory reading list. At long as I read one a month, then I can read any other books that I feel like. I think that is a good balance, so I am not feeling that I am always reading a self-help book, which I do like to read at times, but not most of the time. Give me a Harry Potter book, and I can really relax. The beginning of last year, I wanted to read most of those books that I listed, but I got so bored reading all the self-help/informational books that I just put them down all together and read what ever books that I wanted. LOL

I think this year, I am going to push for reading 50 books this year, and see if I get go over my goal from last year. I wonder if anyone has any good books they can suggest that I should try reading.

Today's “Daily Power Thoughts” by Robert H. Schuller is the following:

January 3rd

Monthly Headline – Think Possibilities

Read Psalm 37:34-38

“All things are possible to him who believes!” Mark 9:23

Today, Robert Schuller talks about how when him and his wife came to California to build a great church and they had no place to begin services. While they were were on their way to California, they both made a list of 10 possible places to meet. It was their 10 possible solutions and it became very valuable. Their assets were limited so they used their list. As they went down the list, they found one right after another could not be used, when the looked in to it. The last one they had was a drive-in theater, which when they looked it, the owner looked interested but gave them no answer. Surprisingly, a couple days after the meeting, Mr. Schuller got a call from the Drive-In Theater owner and told him that it was his to use. So the main point is that use all the possibilities regardless now impossible they are. God can make the impossible, POSSIBLE!

“All things work together for good because God works and I work”

I guess I really struggle with this issue at times, because I must lack belief. Maybe it is because the focusing on all this God stuff is really irking me for some reason. I don't know if I am really ready for all of this. I know that I have been trying, but it has been very trying for me. I have been really been putting an effort to do this. Right now, I just want to drop it all and not write what is on each page everyday. Does anyone reading this want me to continue. Does anyone really care to respond to it and let me know that I should keep trying or should I give up. Any feedback please?

I think I am worn out mentally regarding everything lately. Maybe it is because I am water fasting. Nothing special right now. My tongue is not coated, which is good, I am getting hungry and my brain is all over the place. I hope I can be strong and keep going.

EXERICISE: walked 1.60 miles

WATER INTAKE: 46 ounce of water with a little bit of lemon juice added.

WEIGHT: Unknown
