Date: 4/15/2010 7:49:05 AM ( 14 y ) ... viewed 1495 times I am going through some kind of healing crisis! It began yesterday afternoon: sneezing non-stop, runny nose (thought mostly clear fluid), nausea, and aches and pains in heavy legs. I actually became slightly alarmed, it came on so suddenly.
I was unable to do anything but lie down! Then in the evening time i checked my ketosis levels, and they were almost off the chart. The strip turned the darkest shade of purple (darker than the darkest on the pack), immediately!
I had had a salad at about 2pm, and hadn't eaten since, but when i saw how high in KT i was, i looked up stuff in the great book 'Healing With Whole Foods' by paul pitchford, and made myself a broth: onion, celery and parsley (unf. not organic parsley), simmered in water for 5mins ish. It was absolutely delicious!
I sneezed and blew my nose all through last night (poor boyfriend!!! he's so good to me; staying over cause i'm sick, before going to work this morning).
Had lost more weight by today: down from 137.4 lb to 136.8 lb. Wahoo! Now on 136! Also, was still in ++++ ketosis (the highest on the pack) this morning. I just had 2 eggs, scrambled, with some sautéed mushrooms and fresh parsley (pitchford says parsley dries up excess mucous).
Extremely disappointed that i couldn't go to yoga yesterday (and i don't think i'm able for today, either, with this incessant nose-blowing and sneezing).
A pity! But to be 100% honest, i don't really care, IF I'M STILL LOSING WEIGHT!!! : )
It's weird for me to have a cold/flu/whatever this is. Haven't been like this in a year or so i'd say! Hmmmm!
God Bless You.
