Ok, I had a slight setback. I'd like to say I got the flu or something drastic like that but, truth is I fell off the wagon (or was sort of pushed)! There was a work luncheon and when I fast I usually don't tell any coworkers- I work in the health care field and they are all against fasting, colon cleansing, juicing, making kefir, raw food, etc- most everything I do. They consider me way out there, you know? Anyway, it was day 4 (last week)and I ate lunch to get along with them all. Anyway, I was disappointed in myself so I ate for days- makes sense doesn't it? (note the sarcasm)...
I'm back now, Day 3 and it has been an absolutely delightful fast thus far. It has been a lot easier than I thought it would be after this last binge. Thankfully I haven't had extreme sugar or carb cravings this time around.
Day 1- Mon. 11/9/09
Weight- 162
Water fast
Day 2- 11/10/09
Weight- 158.4
Water fast mostly. 16 oz fresh orange juice.
Day 3- 11/11/09
Weight- 155
Water fast
I really don't feel hungry- yeah I've had the usual stomach growling and day 3 is usually the worst as far as that goes but it usually ends on day 3 too. It's 9pm now and it is just growling away. I really love that empty feeling. I would choose this any day over feeling full.
Had only water today and still feel fine. Headache will be leaving soon though it hasn't been really bad either. Pretty fortunate so far.
I hope you all are doing well with any programs you may be doing. I will be sure to blog every night now consistently. Not stating a quit time because I don't have one in mind. I'm thinking a good 2 weeks at least and we'll go from there. If anyone is out there reading this, please take a minute to say hi and tell me where you are in your journey!
