Getting off benzoyl peroxide
Changing skin routine, testing for food allergies, etc.

I think tonight is going to be the first night of testing out a new topical regimen. Ive come to the conclusion that my body, for whatever reason has developed some type of allergy to benzoyl peroxide. It is not only no longer controlling my acne but for a long time now it is causing an itchy, sometimes even painful skin reaction. My skin turns bright red all down my neck to about my collarbone area for hours after I apply it to my face. My face is constantly peeling and irritated no matter how much moisterizer I use. I dont like putting this chemical on my face. I mean I suppose it would be worth it if I was CLEAR from doing so, but to be putting it on my face when Im still getting just as much acne as ever {more even, the liver flush sure stirred things up!}, I dont find it worth it. Im going to start out going without it at night and still doing it under my makeup during the day. Slowly weaning myself off of it.
I sit here right now drinking my lovely apple cider vinegar and apple juice liver prep drink. This stuff hurts my tummy, but after 5 flushes I can definately say for sure that it helps soften the stones. My 6th liver flush is on monday night.
Its been almost 6 weeks since flush 5, and just in the past few days I noticed I started feeling congested again. Stools lightened..feeling anxious and irritable, some of which is definately related to pms. I didnt have as terrible pms last month which is interesting. Its definately time to flush again.
Ive also been gluten free {as far as I know for about a week now}. Skin still bad as ever. People tell me it could take a year to see health improvements from the gluten free diet, which is frustrating because Im not even 100% sure if gluten is my problem. Its so very hard to test things. The pasta I ate as a test definately made me sick, but I suppose the sauce I had with it could have had something in it too. So the only way to figure all these things out is to do a million test. Have that exact same sauce with some quinoa and vegetables instead of wheat pasta and see how I feel. Im testing for other food allergies as well, and Im going to keep track of that here.
The other day I got really sick after eating some "hummus" I made, which wasnt really hummus it was a paste made from chickpeas, avacado, roasted red pepper and artichoke hearts. I not only felt like death all night {had it for dinner} but the next morning I skipped my usual bowel movement and was gassy and kept feeling like I was going to have the runs all day but nothing came out. I suspect the chickpeas because I felt ill after eating them before but never made the connection. So now Im testing. Each of the ingrediants in the hummus. Yesterday I had a salad made of only green romaine and the roasted red pepper. No noticable problems digesting that. Tomorrow Ill have one with only the greens and artichokes. I use avacado in my veggie smoothies often and have never noticed a problem. So its either the artichokes or the chickpeas. Once I test the artichokes, Ill try a small amount of chickpeas again, because there is always the chance they could have just been bad chickpeas. LOL is my life exciting or what?
Doing these tests is really the only way to figure out what I can tolerate and what I cant.
My hope is that through liver flushing and parasite and candida cleansing I will be able to fix my immune system and get rid of some of these food intolerances.
Well I guess I had quite a bit to say after all! ;-) Tats enough about me for now! Ill be back with an update after my flush monday.
