2 apples off the tree
1 quart of berry/spinach smoothie
- I went for a 4.24 walk according to mapmyrun.com and also is recorded in my running journal coolrunning.com. These websites are FREE. I worked my biceps before the walk. My husband and I are not in possession of a working vehicle at this time so no gym today. The gym isn't far but I didn't feel like walking all the way there and back after a hardcore gym workout. Not today my relaxation day. Man that smoothie was good. Anyway, I am making time management one of my projects this week so I can begin to practice yoga on a consistent basis. It would be so much easier if I lived near a yoga studio but I don't. I'll have to suck it up and get some discipline.
My heartrate topped out at 170. I had to work harder this time to get it up real high. I passed by my job and waved to one of the residents sitting by his window. I gave him my first marathon tee shirt and kept the racing towel for myself. Today marks the beginning of my outdoor workouts and base building, strengthening the knees to run the Long Island half and the full NYC marathon. I am a guaranteed entrant for the NYC.
Even though I do not have a car now, I'm still going to make it to the gym somehow. I might have my husband take me to the gym and workout on the treadmill for 45 minutes before going home. We shall see. Right now, I'm watching inspirational videos on youtube about rawfood, manifestation of affirmations and meditation.
I've been writing my daily ten in my moleskine journal but today I'm thankful for GOD and the srength I get from Him. I need to make church attendance as regular as my workouts. I think it's because church here where I live is where everyone minds people's business. It's a small town and easily lends itself to people being busybodies. I am a loner by nature but that shouldn't stop me from receiving Holy Communion.
