Sometime around 9pm last night, I caved. I ate a boca burger. Then followed it with three more. Mind you it was just the veggie patty with no bread or anything but still. 400 calories later...ECHHHH. I felt so bad but also felt good. Regained that normal feeling. Why can’t I stick the god damn juice thing anymore. It seemed so much easier before. Back to work today. I had a feeling the scales wouldn’t move much today. Mostly because I haven’t gone to the bathroom and then my stomach feels bloated. I think I know the reason. Yesterday I bought some store brand vegetable juice (I know, I know) and had a large mug of it. I’m sure the salt in it is forcing my body to hold on to all kinds of excess water. I slept in pretty late today. Woke up about 11:30. Again not really hungry. Kind of feeling ambivilent towards food. I heated up a mug of apple juice in the microwave and sprinkled it with cayenne pepper. Even though I wasn’t hungry I figured I should make sure to get something in my system. I drank some water and took psyllium caplets. Like last time I”m taking this in conjunction with the Zand Cleansing Kit to help along the digestive processes.

I woke up with my hunger seemingly gone which was pretty exciting.

I woke up with my hunger seemingly gone which was pretty exciting. I drank the leftover juice from yesterday’s bottle which probably was only about 8 oz and after that I really didn’t want any more, juice OR food. I had promised a friend I would go to a street fair in Silverlake with her, called Sunset Junction.
Our original plan was to get there at 3:45 (if you get in before 4 you only pay $12 vs. $15 after 4) pay, walk in, get stamped and turn around and leave the festival again and go get coffee or drive around until 7:30 when the ... read more

Day one went very smoothly. I’ve actually attempted to start this fast about five times since I completed the last one. Each time I make the mistake of going out with friends or doing something that tempts me and by nine o’clock I”m out to dinner or getting fast food on the way home. Luckily this time I made a point of staying in and going to be early. It seems that if you can make it through the first day the rest is a lot easier. I definitely had hunger pangs but the apple juice seemed to help.
