Updates: PMS, SSRI withdrawal, Diet 18 y
A round-up of how I'm doing with cramps, PMS, SSRI weaning and diet change.
Lovely PMS
I ran out of Arizona green tea two days ago, but I like the stuff and will get more of it. Unfortunately, I’ve only found it at a WalGreens so far, and that’s 5 miles from anywhere I need to go any time soon.
On my second day of drinking the tea, I had about the same results as the day before -- pre-cramps stopped and didn’t return until about 10 pm. As stated in a previous post, this may be entirely coincidental and non-related to the tea. In either case, I will get more tea and wait for the "true" cramps to begin in hopes of some relief.

Will sacrifice body for beauty! 18 y
The things we (I) do for beauty...
Crazy ey? But true for me! Yes, I am willing to sacrifice my body for facial beauty. But let me explain with a bit more detail.
I’ve long considered myself to be.. well.. cute. That feeling was born fully out of ego -- males telling me so. Fine and dandy, but I had to nurture that feeling into belief, so now, my ’cuteness’ stems more from self-confidence and a youthful persona. In short, I believe in myself; I like myself; I am not 100% happy with the reflection of the mirror, but I am far from repulsed by any part of me; I am mature, but so young at heart and I adore life.

(pms) Arizona Green Tea - did it work? 18 y
Is this tea my new 'cure' for cramping?
Hmm, so I sipped on the Arizona Green Tea (with ginseng and honey) during the day yesterday, finishing it off at a late lunch. I’m not 100% sure, but it may have helped to ease my cramping.
As a recap.. someone on the forums mentioned that the tea really helped them with cramping -- it ”did wonders”. I am currently in PMS and experiencing ”pre-cramps” which I usually get/suffer for up to 3 days before Aunt Flo comes. These cramps aren’t typically enough to break open the meds *yet*, but are definitely enough to make me feel that pain thing constantly.

(depression) My SSRI weaning schedule 18 y
How I'm weaning off SSRIs with only 5 pills left, and why
I’ve been on an SSRI for about 4 years and I’m ready to come off them for several reasons.
My doctor is about an hour from my home. This may not seem like much, but juggling a household with kids and all our activities calls for better use of my time. I certainly could get a doctor within just a few miles of me and start a new prescription, but I just don’t want to do this.
Firstly, I no longer have insurance. Paying OOP, out of pocket, would not completely break my bank, but it’s another thing I don’t want to do. The cost of travel, time, doctor’s visit (to tell me everything I alre ... read more
PMS is here and I'm fighting 18 y
Ways I'm fighting my PMS
I’ve been in PMS for at least a week, maybe more. I have plenty of OTC pills at the ready for the pain, but I’m trying some other remedies before I break them open. I expect Aunt Flo to show up within the next 1-4 days.
Starting yesterday, I have changed my diet. I don’t feel I can change my complete diet for a lifetime, but I can certainly do it for a while.
I bought 3 kinds of pears, kiwi, plums, grapes, oranges & tangerines and apples. I also picked up some sunflower seeds, broccoli, avocados, Arizone green tea with ginseng and honey, vanilla soy milk, deli turkey and some chocola ... read more
An Introduction 18 y
An introduction of the who, what, when, why and how of the person behind this blog.
I am a 30something year old mother and wife with a lot of life to live. I am a secular humanist -- agnostic by nature and definition (I’m often called an atheist by those who aren’t clear on the distinctions *s*). Anyway, I’m very firm on my beliefs (and disbeliefs, as it were) yet I keep an open mind and am a very tolerant person.
I’ve been coming to curezone for at least a year. I think I actually joined months and months ago... even posted a time or two. I got busy with life for some time and, by the time I came back, I’d forgotten even my username. I’m here again because I find the ... read more
