45 days to go 18 y
1.5 months?? really??
Hmmm... that’s an interesting number - it says to me... 1.5 months!
Yesterday I had good food - yogurt, beans and nuts during the day, not lots. Last night I had one of the most amazing salads, but it cost a ton in organic veggies. Way too much.
It’s all good when I buy for one, but when the fiance wants to eat too, I went through what I thought was three days of dinner produce in one meal. Oh well. It was good.
two heaping helpings of salad and a banana, and half a whole wheat hamburger bun.
No alcohol.
Today: one low fat yogurt, one banana
Lunch: small greek salad, no d ... read more

feeling close to normal
Finally I’m feeling a little back to normal! My 8 day marathon period is gone! Thank goodness.
Yesterday I was good with food all day, then got home and the fiance made yummy pasta with meat sauce. Irrisistable. that’s like my favorite thing in the world to eat. So I had some (definitely 2-3 servings). Not great.
No alcohol, that was good.
Today I’ve had 2 x low fat yogurts (60 cal each) a handful of yellow beans, 3 handfulls of nuts, and lots of water.
Got yummies for dinner, org. spinach, a yellow and an orange pepper, yummy organic tomatoes and some avocados. I’m hopi ... read more

Under 7 weeks to go
OK, just under 7 weeks to go till the wedding. I’ve taken a week off of being strict, and i’m ready to get back on track.
Last week was a week of bad eating, a nasty painful period, and very little exercising. Needless to say I’m feeling pretty gross. I don’t look gross, but i feel gross. It is hard to realize that all the hard work I’ve done doesn’t just undo itself in a week.
So this AM I bought lowfat yogurt, some veggies, and some nuts. That’s my diet for the week. Low sugar, and raw. I know the yogurt isn’t raw, so it’s a modified raw diet for me at work all week. I just ... read more

Ross & Rachel, anyone?
The trials and tribulations of the future sister in law continue.
Yesterday it was a flurry of semi-conciliatory, semi-attacking emails. Finally I got home and had a long talk with my dad, and with a good friend. It was the good friend who said, you need to take a break. This isn’t going anywhere good.
And lo and behold, the thunder clouds rolled away and I saw the blue sky of hope again. So I talked to my fiance, and said I know this is going to be tough for you, but I need to take a month away from her.
We were supposed to go on a trip to NYC, she a ... read more
A horrible fight and some medical news 18 y
beautiful weekend crashes and burns.
Last I posted, I left the living room after being told by my future sister in law that the last name I’m taking (which is part of their hyphenated last name) is wrong and I shouldn’t break up the name and like it’s not mine to break up.
This girl is a freaking headcase. She came down over the weekend after I practically begged her to come take part in our festivities. Our best man was there, and all weekend she was talking behind his back about sleeping with him ”just because” and to mess up his relationship with his girlfriend.
Holy crap. So after she said that stuff about the la ... read more

you're not going to believe where this post goes. seriously
Yes, we’re enfuego with the grill. It’s great. However, I feel like crap. It’s amazing to me to go on this journey. We have guests this weekend, and usually with guests around, I tend to eat SAD like I used to. Note, our SAD is absolutely amazing organic beef and organic veggies, cooked by my man with absolute skill and utmost yumminess. So it’s about as good an SAD as you can get.
However, I’m realizing more and more that I don’t like eating like I used to. It makes me feel sick, lethargic, and heavy. I like getting my carbs from veggies, not bread. Don’t get me wrong, pasta i ... read more
Memorial day weekend! 18 y
56 days to go
It’s official - I’m not getting on the scale again. I weighed in at 189 and that made me a little sad, but I’m getting smaller and doing tons of exercise, so I just don’t have time in my brain for these numbers anymore. I’m edging down to a size 10 and I lost 1.5 inches off my hips in a month, which is awesome.
I attribute it completely to running. I’m replacing fat with muscle, I’m doing it at a good rate, I look just fine, and I’ve really decided to keep up the effort it’s going to take to get down to the low 170s and eventually the 160s. I think it’s going to take me probably unt ... read more

nothing special.
Yesterday I was bad - I had french fries and ranch dressing. So good, but I felt horrible when I was trying to go to sleep - bloated.
So today it’s leftover chef salad and cut up celery, carrots and a few dates.
Last night for dinner I had beef tenderloin, portabello mushrooms and steamed broccoli.
Did go to yoga, am running today. visit the page

No I wasn’t REALLY REALLY BAD, I just spend a minute too long in the tanner. I have ROSY red cheeks. I’ll never tan again after the wedding, and I’ve taken it really slowly and gradually up to this point. I can’t wait for the sun to come out in New England this weekend! It’s going to be 80 degrees!
Yesterday - salad for lunch, ranch dressing
dinner - salad (avocado, spring mix, radish, celery tomato) and two slices of peanut satay grilled chicken
Workout - 26 minutes on stationary bike
30 minutes of light weights and pushups
Today:
breakfast peanuts, raisins, yogurt chip ... read more
To all those lovely people out there... 18 y
meandering through the blogs, some thoughts.
This is such a great community. Everyone here really strives for something better for themselves. I think many aspects of that struggle can end up getting us down, rather than lifting us to what we aspire to.
When I first joined this community, I learned so much about fasting, about health, detoxing, and clean living. It’s truly changed my life. I’ve found the tools to drastically improve my diet and exercise, and the kind of support that helps me be compassionate towards myself.
However, I found myself bouncing in and out of semi-obsessive behavior, setting unrealistic goals, gu ... read more
A weekend of calm 18 y
focus on fitness, not on food.
Boy did I have my britches in a bunch last week. It was a rough time. Luckily, the fiance and I had one of the greatest weekends of all time.
Friday, got home, and ran four miles. I made it through the whole thing chanting, ”I can do well for myself today.” I didn’t stop, I didn’t drop to a walk on any parts of the hills. On the way back I even said to myself, I’m going to smile and enjoy this. AND I DID!!!!!!! I got home and felt like a new person.
Really, I think, being able to run four miles without stopping is a huge achievement. Doing it with a smile is something I never ... read more
The best advice comes from home... 18 y
My fiance. Man, I'm glad he's mine! He's awesome!
Got back from my run last night (only 2.5 miles, couldn’t make it 4 miles, try again tonight).
My fiance said, you’ve been really preoccupied since the incident in the airport. What’s going on?
I said I haven’t felt right. My stomach hurts every time I eat and I just don’t feel that great. He said where does it hurt - does it seem to hurt at the base of your sternum, between that and your stomach? I said - holy cow that’s exactly what hurts.
He said, that’s stress. Your stomach is roiling with acid because you’re stressed. You need to do whatever it takes to chill out.

this is like a contest or something. except that everyone's a winner here on curezone (CHEESE)
to juice fast, or not.
This morning, I felt - ”I can handle a fast, I can do it”
This afternoon, I felt - ”All I’ve eaten today is a piece of candy, lots of water, and a small soup.”
That’s really good - and we’re having fruit salad for dinner.
I’m thinking that I’ll give myself till the end of May to see if I can keep up small-portion eating and good exercise habits.
If I cannot feel good about what I’m eating and how I’m exercising every single day, then I’ll juice fast. But if I can keep up the good habits I’ve been in for most of the past two weeks (raw as much as p ... read more
I'm soliciting your advice. 18 y
yes, I mean you
Wow. The wedding is just over two months away - I’m mailing my invitations today. I’m very excited.
I took a few days off exercising. It’s been raining like crazy up here, at work we switched to a whole new automation system for radio broadcast, which required a heavier workload than usual, and I was just zapped out.
Finally got back to the gym yesterday and it felt great. Back to 4 mile run this afternoon.

cooked does not rock quite so hard but it tastes good...
Wow. After eating raw for three days last week, I felt awesome. Then this weekend, I had some cooked / not great food. I couldn’t seem to get it to move through my system!
Wow. It felt gross!
So I’m back on raw for the week. I love it - but I think I’ll have to eat semi-normal on the weekends, or I might just up and float away. Seriously. So I can see more changes, I’m not getting on the scale for a while - I just don’t really care.

trying hard.
Yeah! I’ve done really well since Monday.
Monday I had salad for lunch and dinner. Tuesday I had potato salad and tuna salad and chicken for lunch (bad) and a dinner of lentils, tomato paste, mushrooms, carrots and onions and basmati rice. It was really yummy but I had three huge portions.
I had a job interview tuesday AM and I was still a little worn out from the weekend. My willpower was not what it should have been. Still, no alcohol.
Wednesday I had salad all day, 20 minutes on the bike 20 minutes on the stair climber and weight lifting, total 1 hr. 20 minutes.

Great weekend. I'm pooped. 18 y
exhausted and frustrated.
Wellity wellity wellity.
I ran 4 miles on Thursday, hung out with the sis in law, didn’t talk about the wedding. That seems to be all she needed to chill the heck out. Cool.
We went to Baltimore to hang out with the cousins this weekend. Also cool.
Now I haven’t had any alcohol, but I also haven’t been strict with south beach. We had a really long weekend and I’ve been exhausted since then. I haven’t worked out, I’ve eaten carbs (but not a TERRIBLE AMOUNT).
So if I’m going to make a dent in my appearance for the wedding I really have to eat raw I’ve decided. So today I”m ... read more
