I got hit HARD
 
Went down to NYC this weekend and came home with a NASTY cold that has had me out of work for three days. I’m taking today off from the gym as well, and going home to sleep. The good news - the fiance and I have sort of been on liquids only for a few days, with some stew and chicken soup for good measure. We’re both pretty sick. However, this weekend he’s going away so I’ll have the house to myself to do yoga and wedding planning and read in the sun. Wow. Floored. Hope all is well. next week back on the crazed fitness train. I overreacted, I think   18 y  
and I'm officially a gym rat.
 
Hi out there! I think I overreacted a little yesterday - I was exceedingly upset starting at 7AM and didn’t chill out till I was relaxing on the couch at 8PM, watching Red Sox Yankees spring training (GO SOX). That’s 13 hours of brain squeezing unsettling unhappiness. Wow. I was upset enough about the thought of my fiance sabotaging my efforts that he got the message very clearly. but wrapped in bacon???
 
but not so much when they’re wrapped in bacon. So yesterday was not a great food day. For breakfast I stopped at dunkin donuts and got an omelette sandwich (probably 400 calories), had 2 pieces of pizza for lunch and some yogurt (probably 500 calories). I went to the gym on a mission. I burned over 600 calories before I even started lifting, lifted for 25 minutes and then got in the sauna for 25 minutes. I probably burned at least 800 calories. taxes suck
 
I’ve got my period and I went and had my taxes done yesterday. BAD COMBO. I was a freelance producer in NYC for a while, well technically freelance, because my company did not want to give me health insurance. However, they wanted me there every day, working set hours, with a desk, phone, and email. They totally screwed me. So I have to pay out my own taxes on what they paid me, most of which I paid in estimates, but some of which I owe. Boo. It’s kind of a lot, and when I saw the numbers yesterday, I was muoy upset. A quick post to say that this morning I prepared carrot sticks, red pepper bits, an avocado, a sliced banana, some cherry tomatoes and some orange wedges for breakfast and it was most well recieved. Way to eat on the weekend. Raw food is yummy and feels very right to eat. The fiance loved it.   visit the page

lost some inches & future plans
 
Lost 3 more pounds, down to 191 since 3/3. lost 2 inches on waist lost 2 inches on hips and lost 1.5 inches on thigh since February. Not bad. I worked out a bit last night, enjoyed some salad and raw fruits & veggies. Also have had crackers and cheese, and some wine. Awesome - it’s the weekend. Today I have to go help out at the HOME SHOW for the radio station. I think I have to spin a prize wheel. Hilarious. Hi all, After yesterday’s really tough day at work, I did lots of lunges and walked 130 calories off on the treadmill. My legs are burning! I went 20 minutes in the sauna. Got home and had some tomato, celery, arugula and cilantro juice. It was good. But then I was cutting up my watermelon for today, and I had a few bites. It was super delicious. Wow. It’s been a crazy day - I work at a radio station producing all the commercials we air, and one of our jocks quit yesterday, and actually cited among other things the fact that he thinks I make too much money. Well, the guy was a mess, financially, and everyone has been really nice in saying that it had nothing to do with me, it was really a problem with his manager micro-managing him. I was nothing but kind to him and I thought we had a very good relationship. Today it’s Wednesday, and yesterday I went and got lots of yummy organic stuff to juice at the coop. So yesterday’s dinner was: 3 stalks celery a bunch of baby arugula a cucumber (peeled, b/c not organic) a bunch of cilantro a little basil 2 tomatoes a lemon a yellow pepper (btw, that makes a lot of juice) That was after a good hard gym workout, and I sipped it slowly. I’m feeling spectacular today. Last night I biked 3 miles, walked a mile at a good clip on the treadmill, and did 35 minutes of weights and calisthenics. Got home, made my green juice: 1.5 cukes white cabbage 2 kale leaves lots of cilantro an unpeeled lemon a huge knob of ginger a few carrots You may be thinking HOLY CRAP and you’d be very, very right. Talk about a power packed juice! I added a little tabasco sauce (I’m not a purist, and I need my hot sauce) and sat down to watch some west wing. Awesome. A quick 10 day fast, begins today
 
Hi everyone. It’s time to go on a 10 day fast. Due to many factors, my diet has slipped away over the birthday weekend and last week. I did a lot of work at the gym, but I have not been eating that well, and I want to reset myself to be looking for the good-for-you foods to eat, rather than the rich n tasty foods that are bad for you... Another week, more working out. I moved past the horrible constipation I was experiencing with a warm water enema this morning. I didn’t want to do it but I had major major blockage. It finally worked, with a little colon blow (organic bowel cleanse). I’m thinking about juicing next week and seeing how it works. I could use another kick start. Working out this week really put a hurt on my muscles, it made me totally unable to work out yesterday and today. Just wanted to add that sex makes you feel good. If you are lucky enough to have a loving partner, and some time to spend, brighten up your week with some a delicious sex picnic. Spread your blanket out on the floor, grab a glass of wine, and relax. I suggest music, or our favorite, baseball in the background. Transport yourself to another dimension. Try something new! a little plugged, if anyone wants TMI (too much information). I’m drinking the fiber drink and actually resorted to an enema this morning. Yuck. I’m kicking butt at the gym and making progress (I can see it in the mirror). But I’m really sore and am going to do yoga at home this afternoon. It’s snowing in New England again. Damn. I’m plugged up. I miss my weekly colonics, as unpleasant as they are. I haven’t had a good one since the weekend’s eating, and I’m feeling horrible. I got some bowel cleaner stuff at the health food store. It’s like a fiber drink - mix it up and gag it down. I’m hoping to see some results. Looks like it’s nothing but raw & rough for me for a few days. Man. Eat bad for like 2 days and you really pay for it. Well it was a weekend of sin. That’s all I’ll say. I didn’t eat tons, but I ate whatever I wanted. Needless to say I feel like TOTAL crap today, and I’m waiting with great anticipation to get to the gym. The great thing - I can tell I’m a bit smaller and I don’t think a weekend of bad eating is going to kill me. In a month of good eating and good exercising! YYYYYEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! I’ll get my measurements next week, when the person who measured me originally is there. I’ve NEVER lost weight in my life. And here it is coming off with portion control, snacking control, and lots of exercise. Keep in mind I’m getting this much exercise over 1 hour and twenty minutes a day. I’m hoping to do some yoga in the AM, but so far 1 hour 20 minute workouts with a lot of intensity is what has done it.
