Weigh in day...(w/out results) 18 y
I'm procrastinating :)
I’m at home this afternoon, supposedly for a supervised gas check (utility not colonic hahahaha - that’s only funny at this site and I love that, lol)
The gas company cancelled and I’m going to run a bunch of errands - the fam is coming into town this weekend - my sister & her boyfriend will stay with us and my Dad and his wife Patt will stay at a hotel near by. There are lots of things on the docket - birthday dinner out for me (tomorrow!) and then Saturday with my future inlaws and the whole gang, seeing art, a wine tasting, and general hanging out in the country.
I have so much t ... read more

Everyone hold your breath for me...
Again, I’m doing well. Yesterday - 70 cal yogurt smoothie, two 100 cal yogurts during the day, and dinner after the gym of basmati rice, greens, carrots, celery and a little toasted sesame oil.
The serving was a little big, but I didn’t feel bad afterwards, as I think my body was eating that stuff up after a hard workout.
bike - 4 miles (hills)
treadmill - 1.75 miles (I think)

Feeling good and cleaned out, hoping for good news the day before my birthday (Friday I’ll be 27)

Over the weekend... A HUGE TRIUMPH 18 y
Got the fiance to go jogging!
Well, the weekend went well.
I ACTUALLY GOT MY FIANCE TO GO JOGGING WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a quick run, it included some walking, but we did it, and we did it together. He was very happy.
Eating - we had cornbread crusted fried catfish and collard greens on Friday night. It was a big meal and I probably could have eaten less, but I didn’t eat more than a yogurt on Friday, and I deserved a treat. I had a few pecans (12) Fri ... read more

I'm proud.
It’s Friday, and I’ve been SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!
That doesn’t mean I want to binge this weekend. I actually feel like this weekend will be a huge turning point for me. If I can watch my portions tonight and go for a jog in the morning, I’ll be good.
Sunday, some yoga would do me well.
But I’ve literally eaten yogurt and apples, yesterday and today. Just cause I’m broke and that’s what I bought before I realized I was broke.
I haven’t pooped since the colonic, but that’s because I literally haven’t really eaten much since Wednesday night. I def ... read more

AS FOOD IS SERVED:
I see clearly the presence of the entire universe supporting my existence.
WHILE LOOKING AT A FULL PLATE OF FOOD:
All living beings are struggling for life. May they all have enough food to eat today.
JUST BEFORE EATING:
The plate is filled with food. I am aware that each morsel is the fruit of much hard work by those who produced it.
WHILE TAKING THE FIRST FOUR MOUTHFULS OF FOOD:
With the first taste, I promise to practice loving-kindness.
With the second taste, I promise to relieve the suffering of others.

kickin ass, takin names
Wellity, wellity, wellity.
First of all there are a lot of kick ass people on this site doing lots of kick ass things for their health. I’m full of admiration and I’m inspired each time I look around and see lots of people striving to meet goals.
I’ve been doing REALLY WELL for the last two days!
I’ve been taking vitamins, eating yogurt and good co-op food. Last night was colonic #3 and barely anything came out. My lower intestine is functionning much better - I can’t remember a time in my life where my BM came after a meal, every time.
I got out a little more old stuff, acc ... read more

February 22
It’s Wednesday, day of Colonic #3. I think this will be my last one for a while. However, I am amazed and thankful at the difference I’ve felt over the course of the three colonic weeks. I am now pooping after I eat something. Every time.
Last night I went to the gym, ran almost 3 miles, biked 4 miles, then lifted weights. I am proud. It was a great workout.
At home, I juiced. It was great to get back into juice, and i had a lot of greens, with some sweetness to balance it;
baby spinach
collard green leaf
dandelion greens
1 lemon
1 green pepper
3 stalks celery

oopsy...
all my good efforts and I had a piece of pizza and a cookie, along with my healthy soup and 70 cal yogurt smoothie.
All in 2 hours. Now I’m butt-gustingly full.
Just keeping myself honest. I’m not angry or upset, just looking forward to saying no next time, and looking forward to juicing tonight.

good weekend, thinking about calorie reduction for a week or so...
The weekend is over, and I think I did really well. I made an some amazing dishes - barley and feta stuffed red peppers and vegetable pie. I did not have any seconds of anything. I did have a lot of cheese, but I didn’t get ”stuffed” at any point, I enjoyed my food, and there was real portion control going on. It felt good.
I did have a few beers, but I tried to keep them few and far between.
We had a WONDERFUL time with our friends up from NYC, and my mom also came for a while. There was a blackout the first night, and it was fun and a little spooky, but luckily the power came ... read more

FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m so excited to go home, see my friends from NYC, and start the weekend off with a bang. I got lots of diet sodas and sparkling waters, so I’m going to try to limit alcohol and food consumption as much as I can.
Otherwise, I’m going to have a great time and I’m not going to stress myself all weekend. I’ll also get some great exercise cross country skiing on Sunday with my mom.
Have a great weeekend!
Today I did well - a piece of celery with natural peanut butter, then 3 more plain pieces of celery. Some chilled coffee ... read more

hopefully continued weightloss
OK, had a good day so far. Last night was Colonic number two. Talk about an uncomfortable experience. I know I’m making progress. My therapist told me I shat out about 4 person’s worth of stuff. He was genuinely surprised, and said he could see a real difference in my abdomen.
Goodness, though. It’s worth it to feel great afterwards, but it’s a real struggle for me during. He said my some of my stool was hard, which is why it’s so uncomfortable to pass. I’m trying to drink lots of water. But I have a feeling that’s not the problem.
The problem is my tendency to do really wel ... read more

I feel much better than yesterday. As soon as I left work I went to the gym and biked 4.3 miles, ran almost 2 miles, then lifted weights for 40 minutes or so. Afterwards, I felt great.
I don’t think I really did SO badly yesterday, it just hit me really hard.
Last night I had some lean organic steak with mushroom and onion, and broccoli. It was a nice Valentine’s day.
Today, I had a very small soup, lentil minestrone, from the Co-op, and an Odwalla Omega-3 berry smoothie. I picked them up and went for a drive - it’s beautiful and 40 degrees in Vermont. It’s awful that there’s ... read more

Today’s a crappy day.
I don’t know why but sometimes I just can’t stick with it. Portion control has been going really well, but I had a crappy day at work from the moment I walked in to work.
Of course, that made me crave whatever - today being Valentine’s day, I got myself a three musketeers bar.
Big salad for lunch, and a sliver of cheesecake.
And the fiance wants to make steak for dinner... but I have my colonic tomorrow! I know I’m supposed to clean out today, not eat badly. Well I’ll try to keep it cool tonight. I was doing REALLY well for a few days, then today. And ... read more

It was an interesting weekend - the fiance and I made a quick trip down to NYC (where we used to live, in Brooklyn) to pick up my wedding dress and come back up north.
I ate pretty well this weekend.
I’ve been eating a lot of yogurt, as recommended by my colonic-therapist. Friday I took some tofu and yogurt in the car, and had 6 pieces of sushi for dinner. That was really tough - I felt angry I couldn’t have more, and a little unsatisfied. But I felt fine a little while after dinner.
Saturday I had a few low-fat pringles, some rice milk & tofu. For dinner, beef stew over a bis ... read more

sneaky eating
First of all, I had a colonic last night. It felt totally awful, but I really needed to do it. It released a lot of pressure in my abdomen.
I quickly went home to eat some baked ziti. Damn those sabotaging partners - all he did was cook, and all I did was eat. I tried to keep it under control, and I think I did.
Today I am feeling the best since Ginger died, my cat. I miss her but I feel OK and I’m really excited to get back to the gym. My ”therapist” (colon cleaner) requested that I eat yogurt, and that sounds good to me.
Breakfast - yogurt
Lunch - small shrimp cesear sala ... read more

Renewed purpose
Well, it’s been a long ass time since I posted anything. Lots has happened. I’ve been going to the gym for like 4 weeks, and I weighed in finally last week. I weigh 199. That’s f***ing enormous, not to get all crazy about it or anything, but wow. I was surprised. I guess I was really into deceiving myself, that all the times just snacking away were happening without any consequences, or eating really rich foods...
Also the fiance and I went out of town to a friends house, leaving the cat with the auto-feeder. She was and has been slowing down, getting arthritic, but always happy ... read more
Day 1 18 y
The exercise and diet begins...
Hi!
This is a continuation of my juice fast blog, just wanted to start a new blog as I’m not fasting anymore. Wow, that was tough.
I’m really excited that I jumpstarted the new year with a juice fast. It really cleared me up and out. But I didn’t really have the energy to work out, which is a key to my weightloss.
What might be different from this and other weight loss blogs is that I don’t have a scale, and I’m not going to be a pound for pound super counter. I think I lost some weight not eating for a week, and I sure do feel great.
The big difference is that my cravings a ... read more
