Legal Information Regarding the Canadian Census
Canadians are required by law, under the Statistics Act, to complete the Canadian census in full.
The full Statistics Act is available online at: http://www.statcan.ca/english/about/statact.htm
As we understand it the maximum fine for refusing to complete the census is $500 and the maximum jail sentence is three months. However we can’t necessarily predict how a judge will rule on any particular case.

This Forum needs to go or be changed to a kinder venue.
In my opinion, the way the Gay Marriage Forum here on curezone is named to center out Gay marriage as taboo and create a forum where Gays may feel the need to defend themselves, is not kind. A better, more neutral name that creates balance and a venue to look at all minories equally, would be more suitable. After all everyone has some activity in their life that may be part of a minority and thus may command more respect in the larger arena.
