I have had Mirena inserted in July 2008 and taken out last week December 9 after many visits to my doctor. Non stop bleeding, bloating, paons in my back and especially neck with horrible migraines. I never had that before so I even blamed it on me and my positioning at work. I went to a chiropractor and it sounded better but then the pains were always there. It is only last week that I went on-line and read about all other women having the same symptoms. It felt good to think that I was not crazy and that it was related to Mirena. Pains went away but I am still bleeding heavily so I went back to my doctor who told me that the progesterone was still in my system and that I needed to be re-balanced with my hormones. I started the pill today for a month to stop bleeding. We will see later what happens. Again I am "kind of glad" not to be the only woman out there with problems related to Mirena. I am so glad that it is out of my body.
