Mirena Coil and Bladder Problems

Hello,

I have had the Mirena for about 3 years. About 1 month after insertion I developed Interstitial Cystitis, which is an inflammation of the bladder lining. I have gone to 3 specialists who have said that it is unrelated but I don't buy it, because I have also read that IC is linked to homronal fluctuations. I’m considering it having it removed. Has anyone else had bladder problems after insertion of the Mirena? Also if anyone has had one removed, have the bladder problems persisted?
