Re: when things fall apart

Mr. Cuddly (nice name),

I love passion too. I've been called "too sensitive" since I as a child. I used to feel for the whole world, and that's very, VERY painful.

Learning non-attachment helped so much, but I learned it way before Buddhism. Books and videos helped me get there, like "What the BLEEP do we know? Down the Rabbit Hole" and others on quantum physics, reincarnation and life between lives.

Buddhism sums it all up nicely, but I don't see how practitioners get there without more science and info.

And, I agree, "there's no going through life without paying the pound(s) of flesh".  Even the saints, Jesus, Buddha, Allah, etc. paid theirs. No one has it as easy as it looks to us.  They just went with it. Resistance causes suffering. Go with the flow. That's what I love about Pema's books. She says if life is shit, get to know the shit, look at it, feel it, smell it, embrace it! Life is shit! Get over it. hahahhaaa

Passion is wonderful, but now I look at life in context to watching a movie.

XO
