Re: AF and Chest Pain

That is good advice... I have struggled with GERD myself for the past couple of years. For me it was definately the AFIB that came first... (like the chicken and the egg question for many afibbers)... The only foods that really affect me are heavy, greasy foods that get my heart acting up. I don't think my chest pain is gerd though. Not when I am having the AFIB episodes. That particular discomfort is ONLY associated with the AFIB itself. I do get chest pain without AFIB, and I am sure some of that is GERD related and some is not. At least I know from all the tests that I have had (Stress tests, Tilt Table Tests, Nuclear Test, many echocardiograms, ultrasounds) that my heart is not damaged or abnormal and my cholesterol is great. So after these four years, I am able to pretty much ignore the chest discomfort (unless it gets really bad).

I will try the vinager idea... My father uses it and swears by it. I used to use it alot with vegis but haven't in some time. I would add honey to the cider vinager.
