Re: Looking for some advice
Shroom,
No I was not in the medical field. I was a pilot in the Air Force flying cargo planes back and forth across the ocean and around the world. But in doing my research I had noticed that enterobacter cloacae are commonly contracted in hospitals and particularly the ICU, so good question and observation.
According to the report which was done by Great Smokies Lab there are only two prescriptive agents which shows susceptibility to the potential pathogen: first is cipro which the doctor prescribed - the other is trimethoprim/sulfa which I know nothing about.
What do you mean when you say that the probiotics and food need to be taken carefully when taking cipro?. Should I take the full 10 days of cipro then start piling on the good stuff - or can I take probiotics simultaneously? I guess I am not so much worried about wasting money taking cipro and probiotic at the same time I am worried about diluting the effectiveness of the drug with probiotics. Will taking the probiotics along with the cipro lessen the severity of bad side effects of cipro?
How do I know which probiotics are best suited for this situation?
