Losing History - Pres Ford and Saddam Hussein
Dying and Hung leaders are silent now
Date: 12/31/2006 12:40:05 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 1833 times When President Ford pardoned Nixon back in 1974, the world lost the opportunity to find out a lot more about how American elections work... The whole Watergate reportage missed out on telling through the mass media the real purpose of the break-in, which was to get materials from the Democratic election campaign which would help the Republicans/Nixon win the election. I never really saw how that would help win that election, or what materials they did get.
That was central to the whole period of history, and we never got to hear about it. The Republicans were cheating on an election!!!!!!! That is UN-AMERICAN and undemocratic, and it was just ignored, and almost forgotten except by me, it would seem. After years passed, we could have heard from Nixon or Ford or any number of people about this, maybe we still can, but the players are dying now.
The other "lost history" this week was Saddam's hanging. When that neck snapped, we lost the opportunity to hear from Saddam about just how much the Bush Family Fortune was tied to his rise to power, and much "american-Saddam collusion" happened after his rise to power in Iraq. Oil oil oil... Saddam could have told us much about how the oil trade works to the favour of the USA oilmen, with the help of the CIA and Foriegn policy of the USA government.
Saddam could have brought to light much information about American politics. There is not supposed to be such efforts made by the USA government for the benefit of personal fortune, or even corporate profits, but the USA government is doing just that. Over and over, again and again, and it will go on until it is all exposed and the Americans vote for a third party, someone other than the 'unified Rep-Dem cabal' that exists in the 'worlds greatest farce of a democracy', the USA. America now is merely a 'corporaticy', a new word needed here to describe "government for corporations".
Suggestions on how to pronounce "corporaticy" are welcomed, as are other terms to describe this style of government!!
