"Nutrition & Physical Degeneration" and Beyond!

Price circles we refer to this book ("Nutrition & Physical Degeneration") as "The Old Testament" and "Nourishing Traditions" (NT) as the New Testament. Although there may be some well intended levity in that comparison, I don't think that we have really left the this particular "Old Testament" era as of yet! In fact, Dr. Douglas (previous blog) strongly declared that this book is absolutely the most essential reading for any professional practitioner of modern medicine, health, nutrition (and the like). I've been invited to make a presentation on my current reading of this book. I hold the greatest regard for this book for a number of justifiable reasons. Firstly, there are a particular core group of discoveries made by Dr. Price that have well deserved him the unofficial title of "the Issac Newton of Nutrition"! These nutritional discoveries are so profound and vital to the understanding and health of modern humankind that it will become the very capstone of my ongoing studies as a practical nutritionist, nutrition-therapy chef (and the like). Secondly, this body of work was largely based on the living "models" of radiant health in the time of Dr. Price and it is most likely not to be replicated any longer by any individual so dedicated in the service of humankind! "Nutrition & Physical Degeneration" is by far a most magnificent presentation of the excellently documented & extensive studies, brilliant research and tremendously illuminating findings of Dr. Weston A. Price! I am hoping that by now you can begin to get a sense that this book comes from a realm that is set apart from the realm of "conventional wisdom", a "wisdom" that has utterly failed the American people and many other nations of people as well! I therefore felt deeply compelled to reconsider the invitation I received last Wednesday to share about my "reading" of this "book". It is so much more than just a book to me. This is now about a revelation that actually goes beyond that "certain degree of health" (that some of us may be able to obtain if that "design" is still imprinted in our DNA).
I feel a deep personal calling to penetrate the veils that obscure this revelation and to drink from the "chalice" that Dr. Price drank from so that I may grok the truths of life that he discovered and then be able to communicate these same truths to others who are true health seekers and inspired to be of service, whether or not they are attending the "Wednesday night Class".
