I carry a Whole Foods Market pizza box showing clearly through a side window in The EG Mobile, My 68 VW Van. The Van is an main player in my projected plan--my Seed Dream--to tour from So Cal and my San Diego home--up to Northern Cal to The National Heirloom Expo, September 8-9-10, 2014, in Santa Rosa. This is a journey--when I include visits to the Frey Vineyard--of more than 1600 miles.

Looking at the Ag Research down on Gill Tract 10 y
This, so far, is a research blog. It appears that genetic engineering has been going on within proximity of the Gill Tract Community Garden for many years. While Biological control of pest research came out of this farm land years ago, the current "plot", before student activities claimed a portion of the land, was solely toward gene research, as well as seeing privatizing the land as a source for needed income for the University. It would be interesting to use strictly organic and non gmo heirloom seeds (and non GMO corn seeds) at the Gill Tract community farm and then see if these plants show signs of transgenic contamination. This would not be too difficult to test and might provide more confirmation--as suggested by Berkeley professor Ignacio Chapela that transgenes will contaminate organic corn. The Chapela research said that trangenic corn would contaminate non-GMO corn. At this point in my research, I am not sure if epigenetic corn research is also capable of contaminating non GMO plants.

Photo of Leslie and Ignasio Chapela goes here!
I will find the photo later and put it here.
I am going to contact Ignasio and have him weigh in
on the potential contamination of epigenetic genes on
nearby non gmo crops at the Gill Tract Community Farm.
I want the research of Ignasio Chapela, University of Cal Berkeley
to be told and the story of what he ran into with industry.
I want to look deeply into the issues raised by the film,
the concept of commons vs. privatization.

Update, November 22, 2014
Had a second phone conversation with Todd Darling this morning.
The Film Occupy The Farm was showing in 19 theaters last week.
:My hope is that the film enters the culture as a film to be discussed,”
Todd Darling, director.
We talked about doing a single showing of the film in San Diego with enough lead time.
I will review and update my experience so far here…when I have time.

Exploring Dr Bronner Sal Suds for Laundry Greywater System
This is the beginning of an incomplete Plant Your Dream Blog…
We just improved our greywater collection at the Enchanted Garden near sdsu.
I am researching Sal Suds, The Dr. Bronner Magic Soap cleaning product, for our all house use.
There are many uses described on the Sal Suds ”Cheat” sheet that Lisa Bronner, author of The water runoff needs to be safe for our soil and plants.

E.G. mobile at Bumper Authority this morning
Today is October 31. I woke up early with the inspiration that we are sacred seeds, more exactly we have sacred seeds inside us that come to the surface as we each plant dreams with literal original sacred seeds of ancient grains and heirloom seeds that have not been man handled or manipulated from their original design or intention.. The very act of active gardening with intention supports a connection between growing the sacred seed inside us and being present in the world as a sacred seed Informing the mind of our original design and nature. This morning I’ll be working on moving from ... read more

THE CONVERSATION BETWEEN
SCIENCE, ETHICS, and FOOD
ASKS TO BE EXPLORED NOW
As a visionary, I contend that the conversation
between GMO and Organic lovers
is one of the issues of our age.
History, one 1000 years from now,
will look back at what we as science journalists
say now, this very weekend, and the stand that scientists with integrity
express. No industry can be strong in the eyes
of the public that does not monitor its own strengths
as well as potential weaknesses.
I am deeply honored to be here among the press.
I am deeply honored to be one of your Science Journalists.
Thank you AAAS for opening my eyes to the good
that you bring. Together, we will bridge Science
and Society.

Today I worked many hours on a blog and my body allowed me to do this without the need for anti-inflammatories.

GMOs: on the Herbicide & Insecticide Part of the Equation 10 y
GMOs? What's on the herbicide & insecticide Part of the Equation?
Rachel Carson, in the classic work, "Silent Spring," said more than fifty years ago that if we kept using the insecticides the way we were, the chemicals would no longer work, and where would we go from there? Dr. Ramon J. Seidler, Ph.D, former EPA Senior Scientist paraphrases her in an excellent interview with Kathleen Hallal of WWGF News. We have reached the point that we can go no further using this GMO approach to farming. We are in the process of producing super insects that cannot be controlled. The insects have developed resistance to all the insecticides we are throwing at them. It's time to get the message out. GMO farming is all about pesticides, This Plant Your Dream Blog was written before the Oregon & Colorado GMO Labeling campaigns. Both Governor candidates in Oregon asked for YES on Labeling, More than $13.50 was spent by the No Labeling side to defeat the Right to Know. David Bronner, president of Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap, inspired this blog post with his research.
GMO’s What’s Going on, on the Insecticide Part of the Equation?
“As crude a weapon as the cave man’s club, the chemical barrage has been hurled against the fabric of life - a fabric on the one hand delicate and destructible, on the other miraculously tough and resilient, and capable of striking back in unexpected ways. These extraordinary capacities of life have been ignored by the practitioners of chemical control who have brought to their task no ”high-minded orientation,” no humility before the vast forces with which they tamper.”
