Day 5...Looking Deeply
Within each of us there is a well of energy that must be regularly replenished.

This morning when the alarm went off, I had to drag myself out of bed. I felt as if I could have slept another eight hours. This is an indication to me that my body is beginning to go through the healing and rebuilding process. As I progress in this current journey, my focus is shifting from getting through the initial three days to examining the things I don't like in my life and a plan for creating change. This in depth look at my life allows me to see the inherent good that I am blessed with, as well as things that need modification. When I allow myself to let go of my preconceptions and my agendas, I am allowing myself to become more centered and develop a plan for the balanced life that I seek.
One thing for sure, my kidneys are functioning quite well. I have to use the bathroom up to 30 times a day, if not more. I was reading earlier on the forum, a post by gigisan989 indicating she was drinking around 72 ounces of water a day. That would be about right for a person who weighs around 145 pounds. I did some calculations this morning on how much water I have been taking in the last few days. I have been drinking at least 200 ounces a day, some days more. Now don't get me wrong, I don't weight 400 pounds. It's just that I am constantly sipping throughout the day, and at the same time expelling it all. I remember watching Oprah one day, (okay I'm a guy and sometimes watch Oprah), and the doctor guy was on, can't remember his name. Anyway, he was saying that when we urinate, we should be able to read the newspaper through that urine. In other words, it should be that clear. I notice that first thing in the morning, that's not the case since I've been sleeping all night and do the SWF right off the bat. So the first few hours of the day, I am taking in quite a bit of water to rehydrate my body. This is so important during extended cleanses to stay hydrated. With the advent of an early summer here in Germany and the temperatures in the mid to high eighties, ice cold water really hits the spot for me and help me to keep upbeat throughout the day. With that said, I'll sign off for now and wish all you fellow cleansers out there a wonderful day.
Be strong enough to at least try to make your life better.
