9/10: Master Cleanser
getting bored with lemonade
Date: 9/14/2006 2:46:03 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2776 times Well, here I am again... another day of lemonade. I have to admit... it's not difficult at all anymore. Just starting to look forward to a change in flavah!
I feel great today. Did my usual 4 mile run and light weights for 10 minutes. Made my lemonade. My clothes fit much better. And my skin is glowing. People have made comments today that I look more vibrant. Definitely something in my diet that is not agreeing with me. Need to figure that out. Also need to order the detox box diet. I think that should help with getting rid of foods I don't need or I guess shouldn't have.
I know I am being idealistic right now because I have essentially gone with out food for about 9 days. But I would really like to stick to a few rules as best I can. So, here are a few things I would like to stick to as much as possible as well as the foods in that section I would regularly eat:
- no processed foods (chips, candy, crap food)..... not difficult most of the time
- no dairy (cheese, cottage cheese, milk).... i love cheese
- no coffee.... I think I have been okay with green tea instead
- no wheat products (pastries, pasta, bread).... good at doing this because of my Fiance's allergies
- no sugar (juice, huh... I can't think of other stuff I consume with sugar)..... switch to fresh squeezed juice
- alcohol.... keep to a 1-2 glass of wine minimum as a treat on weekends
I think that pretty much sums it up. I would have no problems loosing my weight if I can live by those simple rules and keep up my exercise program that I have been doing really well on lately. I am hoping that I can come off of this fast with a clear head and remember what I have learned in these days. I am actually happy that I ate those lentils a couple days ago. It took away that dying urge to stuff my face. I feel like it took the edge off in a way. And I am hoping my Fiance will notice a little difference and say I look better so that it gives me a little encouragement to keep on track.
So, in the past 8 days that I have been on this, I have saved a little over $100 from not drinking coffee (infamous Starbucks) buying groceries and little food treats/snacks. And with that money I bought myself a new outfit as a reward and also because the clothes are slightly smaller.. so as a reminder. A reminder to stick to it.
Okay, well... that is all I have for today! Tomorrow is the last push. Whew!!!!! So over the lemonade. Even my hand is sore from juicing those lemons.
